Bro, I am also from singapore...please check you pm.

Twinmos 128mb @ Php2,200.00 at 2nd Flr Virra Mall
Philips Camcoder does not record audio though.

My PQI 128mb from my Palm did the work and have switched it.
I think it is the format capacity @ 125mb as against the 127mb of Twinmos

Guyz, just another thing. Though this is about the MMC reader but somewhat related still to this thread : I bought this IWILL 6 n 1 MMC reader/writer but in its Specification, it says Card supported = 16Mb - 64Mb only. I am planing to have a 128Mb, but worried if the reader won't work on this. Have you tried? Thanx

Prob coz its not a Multimedia card, the SecureData cards look similar but dont fit.

U need a Multimedia (MMC) not a SecureData (SD)

The reason it didn't fit in my phone was - as said by Sambuca - because it was an SD card, not MMC. I'd bought it originally for my digital camera a year or so ago so at least I haven't wasted my money or anything.

I've now bought the Viking 128MB MMC Card and it works like a dream. 😊

I have read that people use MMC with greater capacity than 128 MB. My understanding is that Nokia 6600 supports only 128 MB. I would like to buy a 512 MB MMC, will it work on my 6600? Another thing what should I be aware of when buying an MMC? Does it come with different speeds etc?

Thanks

Integral 128MB MMC from Maplins 40. Works fine without formatting. *BUT* it does report that it's 122MB.....dunno if i should be worried about it

This happens with all MMC cards, it is like when you are buying a 40 GB hard drive for your PC, but actually it is 37 GB. Some space is reserved for FAT tables and other purposes 😊

Even my 128 MB original Nokia MMC, has actually an amount of 122 MB usable space.

Where did you get your PQI 256mb card from. Off the web or localy. I'm in hudds to and I'm to impatient to buy off the web 😃

Btw, did it work?

i have twinmos 256 mmc, got it for Php 4,950 that's about $100 any links to wer i can find a list of all compatible apps and games for my nokia 6600? tnx!

i got a pqi 128mb of eBay for 26 it works fine, but not in my mmc card reader, its the only card ive had not to work in the reader.

Guys, pls confirm it Twinmos MMCs will not record audio on 6600's. I're read many posts here have attested that twinmos are ok, but have you all tried recording audio then?

i have had and tested heaps of MMC the ones that work are these on mine so far 128/256mb PQI (http://www.pqi.com.tw) also the 128/256mb twinmos ,the 128mb transcend,256 TEC and the latest one ive got 512mb mmc from extreme technology (http://onlineextreme.com) it has a lifetime warranty!!!! (by the way im john74 i cant log on for some reasaon)

I have tried two different Kingmax 256MB MMC cards in two different Nokia 6600 handsets (V3.42.1), and experienced write errors with both cards. It made no difference whether they had been formatted by the 'phone or using a PC. One was worse than the other -- one gave write errors as soon as you tried to write anything to it when it was blank, the other was OK at first but gave write errors as it started to fill up.

They both worked fine when just reading from them -- I've been using one of them for a few weeks to play MP3s (transferred using a PC and card reader) with no problems.

I've just got a PQI 256MB MMC card from eBuyer, and so far have not had any problems with it -- no write errors, and have been able to install N-Gage games, which I couldn't with the Kingmax ones.

So, in brief: avoid Kingmax 256MB MMC; PQI seems to be OK.
