id just like to ask if the n6600 performance is affected (ie slower performance) if you use a higher capacity card (ie 256MB)? has anyone tried using a 256MB MMC card from transcend?!? does it work fine?!?

i got a great deal on amazon.co.uk
128Mb
Bytestor it works fine and it was only about 20 with free post

EDIT: DONT BUy IT after having it for 2 months i had used up about 100MB and yesterday it came up with card corrupted i lost all that data and now i have to download all of my gams again from O2 active for 10-15 quid down nloasd lots of free apps and themes like FExplorer etc. on top of buying anew decent mmc. it wasnt just my card either i looked on google for people who had the ame problem a me and found quite a few tho it seems to work fine in camcorders and digi cameras but not on mobiles

I've a 256MB KingMax card that works wonderfully while it's in my N-Gage. I can connect it to my PC through an MMC card reader and transfer files, then put it into my N-Gage and it's fine. However, when I try to connect the N-Gage to the PC using the USB cable, the PC doesn't recognize the phone as a flash drive as it should. When I use a 16MB card in the N-Gage instead of the 256MB card and connect the N-Gage to the PC with the USB cable, the PC recognizes the phone just fine. Wondering if anybody knows of a card that doesn't have this problem, or of a way to fix it?

Being able to connect the phone to the PC directly through USB with the 256MB card would be prime. 😊 Please let me know if any of you know a way to make this work. Thanks!

In sweden you can buy a Twinmos 128mb MMC for about 20-30 euro quite cheap if i say so.. 😉

Btw.. anyone who knows how to use 6600 as a webcam? if you do PLEASE mail me!! and if you have the software for it send them as an attachment please!

Only Mail answers please! I am not registered here yet...

It should work. I'm selling NCP 128/256/512 MMC.

I just bought a Transcend 1GB MMC (137). According to the manufacturer it should be compatible with the Nokia 6600 and it seems to be true. It works fine so far (but formatting takes long time).

I bought a 128MB card off an eBay shop for 10.99 and worked fine. Never had to format it.

Last week I bought a 1GB mmc card from a shop in West Sussex (UK), the sticker on it says "Prestige" and cost me 54.00 which is good considering I couldnt find one for less than 90.

Not bad hey 😃

Bought an A-Data 512 for my 6620 and it works like a champ. Price was 67 USD through price watch.

I've bought an 1 GB Adata card on ebay for 107 , it works great

guyz got a 64mb card twin mos frum saudi just for 23 $ works great no need to format.

Folks,
MMC is a standard. Why would any card not work with 6600/6620?
According to the manual there is no limit on size....

I am using a 512MB card from Kingmax. I got it for $63 including shipping from newegg.com

When you get a large card get a Card Reader also. Any transfer through the phone take forever!!!! I am using my digital camera (Optio) for that purpose (connects to PC via USB cable) 😊))

MMC cards are getting cheaper every day!!!undefined

Don't Repeat Your Post
Just Go In Extra Folder in your phone and then in Option u can see Format Memory Card Do that and Your Memory Card will ok But wht ever in That would be lost as it is corupted.
and now delete your post from one forum.

Topram 512MB MMC. On Ebay for $37/ $10shipping. Had to restart a couple of times before it would work, but now it does fine.

Guys,
I've seen here that ppl say that TEC 512MB and A-Data cards Works great on the 6600,
Does it mean that they'll work the same on the N-Gage ?
BTW, is TEC and A-Data considered reliable compeny
like PQI and LG ?
