What theme did you lose? Sendo havn't released a Vodafone version yet so i can try anything out.

And I don't care about themes, the most important is that the phone actually
is capabable of functioning as a phone!

I' m very happy for the Release ! but you can understand my displeasure for the Theme . 😊

Did you use it alot? Maybe they are just trying to free up the slot for a future custom theme?

I've just updated my UK handset with the Expansys firmware, and yes, we loose the "Sendo" theme as well 😞 I can only presume that they needed to take it out to make room for something else.

On the plus side though, the camcorder seems a *LOT* better than it did - I'm finally getting a decent frame rate to my SD card!

I've heard that there might be some themes released by Sendo soon, so they should keep people happy, but the Theme Editor isn't done yet (and it hasn't been decided whether the general public are going to get it anyway), but hopefully it will come soon enough!

I've got to say, on a first impressions basis, 60D seems a *MUCH* better firmware!!!

Smartmovie actually seems slower on the new firmware 😞

I've managed to reproduce the MP3 call problem with this new firmware 😞

It doesn't do it all the time, but it's still there 😞 I;m doing some extensive testing to try to find out what's going on.

Smartmovie's slower? Hmm, i may not upgrade then id prefer having a decent framerate than faster framerate camcorder.

Its would be interesting to see if there is any improvement in the Spmark score, being as we have the slowest phone on the market an increase would be a good improvement.

It was definitely slower on this firmware, using the same file...

let's make a buglist on this firmware.
Everyone, please state all the bugs you encounter with this version and also things you would like to see better/changed.

I will add them in this post, so we have a clear view of the to do bug-clearing.

here we go:

1, My back light and keypad light refuses to come back on after keypad unlock (this is after a couple of hours of normal use and using the keypad lock/unlock several times),

2. hit the red button when in phone lock and screensaver, you will be out of the phone lock without having to hit (soft+*).

3. sms counter not available when typing sms

4. AMR sound quality when played on phone. When you transfer the files to the pc and play them there: no problem. Play them on the phone and you can hear these clicks, ticks or whatever you like to call them in the background. You can hear them even better with the headset.

5. MP3 sometimes starts cracking after a while of playing music.

6. 1 out of 3 calls i receive makes my ringtone crack. [COLOR=DarkRed]SOLVED[/COLOR]
7. smartmovie, THE application to play movies is not smooth at all and won't except smooth playing in high quality.

8) Sometimes on startup, the phone displays Now! as it's network name, and despite recognising a signal, will not display operator's name.SOLVED

9) Phone *keeps* asking me to copy SIM contacts to phone memory.

10) A restore from memory card failed to copy over all files (1 file missed)

11) Auto-update of time (clock settings) has disappeared (i was in The middle east, and despite the network change it wouldn't show the right time)�*removed in this firmware*�

12) the irritating beep at the start of a conversation when accepting a phonecall. [COLOR=DarkRed]SOLVED[/COLOR]

13) when you accept a phonecall, the vibration continues for a second when allready talking at the person who called you. A lot of users find this very irritating. It's even noticeable to the callers.[COLOR=DarkSlateGray]SOLVED[/COLOR]

14) unable to receive calls/sms when mp3 is playing. Even sometimes after playing MP3 unable to receive calls or sms. (mostly with italian version of the X). Latest firmware 60D seems to give this problem to all X's. The first seconds of mp3 play, calls wil be received. But after 30 seconds of play calls will be diverted to voicemail.

15) Sms messages are not being received when they should, have to switch the phone off then on again sometimes to receive them, I have to do this several times a day.

16) GPRS connection tends to drop very regularly. When it drops it takes the network receiving down with it. Usually you have to restart your phone to make it work again. Sometimes the phone even freezes. We need a more stable GPRS connection.

17) MP3 player shuffle system isn�t very good; I always get them in the same order! The first one played is always the first song alphabetically despite it being on random. Also you can�t skip song by pressing down unless the mp3 is 5 seconds into the song! Otherwise the song just restarts!

18)When multi tasking and playing mp3�s the music is constantly interrupted although only for a small time normally.

19)Some noises are still played in silent mode. Like if you are in silent and then choose the same profile again a bleep is played!

20) no vibration when receiving sms [COLOR=DarkRed]Solved[/COLOR]

21) animated gifs flicker alot when viewing with sendo. and dont loop.

22) 'pushing key sound' is too high, should be put lower on lowest volume.

23) was not a Sendo bug

24) when trying to make a call or entering a number to a country outside your own, holding the 0 doesn't result in a + sign, but in some kind of network request. Using 00 does the trick, but we would like to see a + when holding it to use a new number, optionally to use it to add a new number. [COLOR=DarkRed]SOLVED !![/COLOR]

test the ones that aren't marked with 'solved' so we an update this bug list , put your findings in this topic and then i will continue updating the buglist.

I have not been able to update my phone yet as its the French version,

Can anybody tell me if the phone now works correctly as a phone i.e. send and receive calls ok (with the expeption of the MP3 problem), receive txt msgs ok and recover network connection after dropping without needing to turn the phone on and off.

These are the most important things to me.

i've now tested smartmovie and the cracking is worse !!!

in stead of a little ticking sound every 2 seconds, i get a constant ticking. it's quite horrible ! :frown:

This doesn't look good, I know its still early days, but from what users are saying many things are much worse than before.

I was initially going to get a 6600 last year, my brother has one and he has no probs at all, all the apps he installs work, camera video playback and Mp3 (third party) player work fine.

Then I saw the write ups about the X and decided to wait.

Most advanced smartphone, extra dedicated graphics and sound chips to cope with the extra processing power, excellent conectivity, platform 60 so huge library of software available, excellent audio/video capabilities.

Those are some of the things that made me go for the X, and do you know what, its a year later and non of them work.

Looks like I have another expensive doorstop to my collection - bugger (actually I can send it back 😊 )

I may be leaving you guys very soon, anybody have any recommendations for another smartphone thats on the market or coming soon (yes I do know that any smartphone I get will have problems, but at least it should be able to make calls ok)

The auto update of time feature was removed on purpose - it wasn't meant to be there in the first place (so I'm told) - please remove it from the list

idont think i will upgrade at the moment as my phone works ok only problem i have is that it freezes if to many things are open, so i will watch and learn wot you lot do
