I've got to say I really like the design of the 6800. If only it were running Symbian... 😞
Has it been confirmed that it doesn't or are you all going by the look of the screenshots in the rendered images?
The Nokia N-Gage(TM) mobile game deck will run on the Nokia Series 60 platform and the Symbian OS (Operating System).
The N-gage looks great! It should mean a huge boost in the number of game developed for our 7650's next year! (If they'll fit into 4mb of memory however, remains to be seen!)
If the N-gage has an MP3 player (looks like it does) i'll be a happy man! I can use my T68i (which is so Sloooooow) as a camera & scheduler, and the N-Gage for SMS/Games/Music. Perfect! 😃
Just to make things clear:
A lot of people asked if the 6800 might be Series60. According to Forum Nokia specifications it's only Series40, and I think they know what they are writing about.
I just don't know why!!!! If it was Series60, I would definitely buy it, but with a proprietary, not very expandable OS? No way.

According to the Docs, Series 60 requires at least a 176x208 pixel, 256 colour display.
Since all the new nokia releases are 128x128, they're completely out of the game as far as Series 60.
Oh well, maybe Q2 😉

6800 looks pretty interesting device. I hope they launch devices for the N-Gage platfrom soon (february I think). Those might be pretty interesting also.
I just showed an N-gage image to on of my "oh,your phone is like brick" friends.These are his exact words: Damn,what is that? Looks like Borg Technology.He did not think much of the SPV though 😊

N-gage is a Series 60 phone! Although most games developed by SEGA (and others to follow) will be written on MMC cards which means that they probably wont fit in the 7650 memory!
Well...the size of the games would be a problem,and yes,i think its a series 60 device.
Is the 7650i really coming? I know that nokia has just announced several new phones recently and the 7650i was not included. But I recently read a post at another forum that the 7650i will be available by December. Is it possible for Nokia to release a product without any prior announcement? Do you guys have any info regarding this?

Due to the fact that the 3650 will be here soon, then I doubt it very much.
But it may be realease at some point in the future for the US market. (Tri-Band)
