Why is everybody in a hype with this tel. I have also the 7650 but the sound quality and the screen quality is bad if you record a short clip or make a foto, the games are terrible and the real players are stupid.
I had this before on my old 486 computer and then it was cool.
Now there are so many cool stuff out there on pc why is everybody happy with the software for the 7650.It's lame bull shit and only 4mb my 386 computer had more memory.So stop asking for software it will not be beter than those stupid games they make for the telephone.

In fact I got a nice PC, only prob is it weighs almost 5 pounds and is definitely too big for my pockets. If you leave your home more often than once a week that's actually a major drawback.

obviously he does not know the functions of it. I use computers a lot and yes i like PC's but having a phone that can use softwares n things.......that's another thing. so far......i can say that N7650 is the best phone out there. A pentium 486?.......how sad.

Mmmm lets see I use my phone for Email, and the PDA functions and as a telephone, its also handy to take photos of work I do for record keeping.
Playing games and stuff is a distraction, IM chat is handy for talking back to home and its also nice to say, I am here with a photo.
Its a good phone/pda combination. If you arent impressed then so what? But, Ive never seen a 486 pc with GPRS and a Camera, and not one thats fits in a pocket.
I dumped an IPAQ and a Nokia 8210 for a 7650, this phone rocks. Its good at what it does and its exactly this, replacing your PDA and phone, not your PC or laptop. Different tools for different jobs. Try thinking about it.

I know this was just a Troll, but to be honest, I'd rather have my 7650 than a X486.
1: It's probably faster than it anyway
2: It's worth More
3: You can carry it around
4: X486 are so old that you would be hard pushed to find any software
I could go upto 700 but I don't want to bore you guys.

I have a 7650 and I like the phone but why is everybody happy with the software and picture/video stuff.The quality sucks and the videos you can capture are poure quality.By a good digital camera with 3.3 Megapixels and you can take the camera with you and put the pictures later on into your computer, then you have quality.
User the damn phone to call or something like not the make bad quality pictures.The pictures from this quality I made 10 years ago with my self made camera

That's not what the 7650 was designed for!, it is afterall just a phone.
The camera being a "feature".
If you could take 3.3 Megapixel photo's you could only fit about 5-10 on the phone then your memory would be full.
Also the size of the phone would have to be loads bigger and it would cost lots more.
For what it is, I think it's great.

be better than a combined all-in-one tool. Who argues with that? Few people will deny it.
However, you can't underestimate the integration effort involved in packing so many utiilties
into such a small space. That is the key achievement of the 7650, and to be sure the whole
industry has been taking about IT and Telecomms convergence and the 7650 brings that
idea nearer. So I say the 7650 is not lame, rather it's equivalent to a swiss army knife
with all the functionality it has (as noted by poster blue).
Anyhow, the word lame is a really weak one to use because it implies immobility, a
groundless accusation against the 7650.
Anyhow, I know people who are devoted to running reduced linux and stuff on old 486s
and even 386s, and the truth is, it's amazing what they're able to pull out from it. However,
they are used primarily for specialised purposes. All in all, and with all due respect, the
comparison is dreadfully shallow.

Even IF you can put your 486 in your pocket (which i seriously doubth) how to hell are you going to use it like a phone?? How are you going to tkae photos? How aer you going to surf on internet?
N7650 isnt here to kill the PC, HELLO its a phone, and in comparation with other phones its far best for now!
