I have a n95 8gig. I've downloaded some games and I would like to know where these games are stored. I checked that the games should be stored on the 8gig drive but when I go into the drive using windows vista it does not show up in any of the maps that reside on the phone. So please tell me where these games and 3rd party programs are stored.
I want to save them to the computer, in case of hard reset or a total format.
Ask any N95 questions - I'll do my best to answer. (NOTE: old thread.)
Is there anyway I could upload the pictures that i take automatically into my home network on my cpu?
Hi,
When browsing the internet through my home wifi set up the browser is constantly closing. I can browse for a minute then it goes back to the regular phone screen and I have to open browser again. why so?

Try these settings:-
Menu > Tools > Settings > Connection > Wireless LAN > Options > Advanced settings (ignore the warning) > Yes
Then change Automatic configuration to Disabled and Power saving to Disabled.
See if that improves your connection.
Good luck! 😊
Hi Rafe,
I am wondering if you have any suggestions for low volume experienced on bluetooth carkits and the N95 8gb firmware.I am on V11.0.026 up from V10.0.021 and volume is too low to hear.
Which firmware might sort this out (without doing to much damage to normal phone functionality) and where do I get it?
Any help will be appreciated.
Regards,
i have a small problem that i hope to find an answer for. i remember when i had a previous ver of Nokia PC Suite ( not sure what ver) but whenever i would open it, there would be my phone listed on the left side of the app ( Nokia N95 8GB) & there would be a nice picture of a black Nokia N95 8GB underneath it. then i updated to a newer ver of Nokia PC Suite (6.86.9.3) & lost it. now all i get is a generic looking phone & only Nokia N95 above it. not N95 8GB.
i know it is not a major problem but if anyone could help i would appreciate it.
thanks in advance........

I have noticed that when I'm in either of my two POP email mailboxes within the regular messaging application I don't have the option to 'copy to folder' for an individual message. This option is still present in the regular Inbox. I have a N95 8GB NAM with v20 firmware.
Does anyone else have this issue? If I open Outlook on my PC I will lose all these emails from my phone and I used to be able to copy them to "My Folders" within the messaging app.
the keypad in N95 is not functioning, specifically 8, 0, C, and sometimes all of the keys, even on the sliding part. I cant get in because i have a lock code and i cannot type my code, but when im trying pressing all the keys they are all beeping but its not appearing on the screen like " * " when asking the lock code.
please help!
Thanks in advance!
First, try do a cleaning process, could be dust.
@ Charles King : the games are located in E: \resource or\system .
You can find them by installing a third party File Manager :
Y-Browser : http://www.drjukka.com/YBrowser.html
X-Plore : http://www.lonelycatgames.com/?app=xplore
I like X-Plore the best , but here you have to do some menu > tools > settings : show hidden , show system .

I've recently got a second hand N95-8GB (all black) which someone told me was a fake one after I'd bought it. How can I tell the difference and be absolutely certain that my one is a clone?
I've read somewhere that the ones that have the Micro SD slot are the clone ones, is this right?

any help would be appreciated

Hello Rafe,
I dont know if it has been discussed before but I was not able to find it. I recently switched from HTC windows phone to Nokia N95 8GB (used). I upgraded the system software to latest one.
I do not have a data plan. It connects smoothly to wifi & I am able to use nokia messaging service. The problem starts when I move out of one wifi network to another (home to office). The wifi icon shows connected even if I am well away from the wifi network & then if I try to go in wifi settings to try to disconnect manually, the wifi manager & connection manager hangs, often the whole phone hangs & eventually I have to pull off the battery. If I dont pull battery off, the phone heats up & drains the battery very very quickly.
Wifi management was much better with windows phone & worked like PC connecting to whatever (saved) wifi network available, and seamlessly switching networks.
Secondly is there a way to stop every application asking for access point & automatically connect to whatever wifi network available (like windows).
I would really appreciate if anyone can help me with these issues.
Thanks

When I open the rear camera of my N95 for taking photos, I can see a lot of area covered in the photo but when I turn the mode to video, I observe that the camera gets a bit zoomed in. I mean the camera in video mode seems to be zoomed in one step as compared to the camera in photo mode. In video mode the object gets a bit bigger. Recently I bought two Nokia 5230 sets, and there is no difference in the area covered in photo mode or video mode and I see their videos are alot more better than my N95.
I want to ask is it possible that the zoom in (automatic) be disabled in video mode. I want the camera should show same area in view finder, and in actual, in video and photo modes. Why is it so that objects automatically zooms in a bit when we switch over to video mode?
