Well, in the Admin control panel for these forums there should be a way to check for dupe accounts coming from one IP address.
I know it's that way with another heavily-trafficked forum I help moderate.
Dupe accounts are perma-banned with the original account getting randomly-banned anywhere from 7 days to a year via a computer-generated 20-sided die roll.
Randomness = fear = people staying in line.

This is all very sad indeed. People are acting like spoilt little brats, pretending to know what they are talking about when clearly they know nothing. Like children who can't have want the want so stamp their feet and scream and scream. You lot need to grow up, it's honestly the most pathetic forum thread i have ever seen. People dieing all around the world, and this is what concerns you so much. So what if it's a fake, laugh at it, get over it and move on.

It's also very sad for GPSmidlands (who from reading this unbelievable thread it's clear are paying close attention). Clearly they are a genuine company, so why pull a stunt like this? Your reputation is in tatters guys, threads are popping up all over the net like a rash with most people saying it's fake. This kind of thing can kill a company, people use a thing called google these days, and a lot of negative stuff comes up now about you. Obvious forum plants dont help much earlier. This is obviously a naive and young company from the terrible way you have handled this and communicated to people. If you do have a patch, get it it now and save some dignity.

Sorry but they (you ) are not a genuine company - I could find no reference to GPS Midlands at companies house , or any reference to the company that they claim is their parent Mobile Data Solutions

So if they are a company they should by law have the registration number on their website. I can only summise that its a one man band , or sole trader if you like, attempting to act like a legit company but without the understanding of what is required.

I wonder if HMRC are aware of the trading activities that are being undertaken , or if business rates are being paid at that address ? Based on the PO Box address I doubt it very much.

But you are right GPS Midlands as a company will not get any further business based on the underhand tactics they employ to raise revenue.
