You guys need to send pm's to the major players but I've told you what I think.
Someone has it and is trying to amend the data to unlock it.
Come on guys this has to be the most valuable patch on the market.
Think of all the back street mobile phone shops. No doubt be supplying the 'under the counter' unlicensed tomtom and you can really ask what you want cant you ?
OMFG, so the story now is they have given it to someone and they are keeping quiet trying to 'hack' this so they can sell it??
How much longer can you go on beleiving this crap? If this is the case then why dont GPSM tell you/us who it is?
The onus is not on us to find out who it is. Its like me saying Ive hacked navigon, and can distrubute it for free. But Im not going to, nor am I going to give you any proof.
This is just getting all the more laughable by the day. I cant beleive some people still beleive them.
Someone has it and is trying to amend the data to unlock it.
Riiight. And you have some proof that GPSM has even given it to someone then, let alone that this person is doing that? And of course, you can find where this said mythical person is selling it too?
Seriously xdaman, ask yourself: why would they say its an 'established member' rather than who it was? What possible reason have they not to name the person?
I find it amusing that even if it were true and they had the patch, its been such a massive cockup it defies belief. Tbh they would get more respect from me now if they just came clean. To keep lying and submitting excuse after excuse is just making the hole deeper.
Oh and BTW, did they happen to give you an address when they asked you to come and have a look? They dont have a real address on the website (just a PO BOX), so how youd find it I dont know.
Its interesting that when someone wants to beleive something, they make up all sorts of things to keep it going. For example, Im assuming GPSM didnt say anything about the person who has it trying to unlock it. That was simply something you invented with no basis of truth at all. Same with many things you post.
Other people like to look at both sides. Now, for everything Ive said against GPSM, there is an excuse. Poor ones mind, but some nonetheless.
First one was me rigning them up and it never being answered, bear in mind this is 3 times I rang, 4 if you include the first time I rang them and couldnt get through, and they rang me back. Ok, so they could have been extraordinarily busy all the times I rang, and I was first in the queue each time.
As for the phone number being a 10p per min one....well, ok. Maybe they just havent got a clue what they are doing, and instead of making money on it, they went with an expensive provider for no reason (other than stupidity - the number is not memorable, and theres much cheaper ones out there).
As for the constant timelines being surpassed....they could just be having trouble, but wait. They havent said they are. The 2 most recent holdups are awaiting approval from their corperate clients and now its awaiting something nokia. This one I cannot understand, why did they tell a number of people (including me) it would be ready in a few days if they hadnt even submitted it to either of these? Stupidity again?
Why havent they used peoples ideas of verifying it to everyone? Many of Dez and I's ideas were perfectly feasible, and of no loss and minimal hassle to them. This I cant think of any reason for either.
Im afraid theres only 2 answers to this. Either they have done a patch and have been as stupid about it as possible, or its a lie that snowballed way out of control.
By the way, I do hope your doing all this by email, as everytime you ring them your likely to be giving them money per minute.
Personally, Id like to know where those 2 other numbers redirect you to.

Basically, they are often redirect numbers, which your not allowed to collect revenue on. Of course, that doesnt mean some people dont do it. So you have to wonder if that simply redirects to the sales line....
