Well it seems you were unlucky... I got mine from them in less than 24h =)
It's quite nice also 😉
Anyone ordered from hk-mobile.com?
www.hk-mobile.com?
These guys suck. I was tricked into ordering quickly because they could ship quickly, and as it turns out they shipped 5 days later. That's not fair and p****s me off big time. I don't mind the delay, but the fact that I was told something else which led to my order. Don't order from these guys!!!!
Have they shipped you'r?
Have they shipped you'r?
Yeah, it was shipped on Friday as they said, i.e. 5 days late.
After I complained about their bad service, they got all apologetic and refunded me $20. Nice gesture, but the fact remains.
The $20 will help offset the cost for a new EU 2-pin power adaptor (39), as hk-mobile.com only ships UK 3-pin adaptors.
Did you get an email or?
Cause they said they would ship mine at friday, I even wrote them yesterday (friday), but I didn't get an answer nor any confirmations of my phone was shipped.
I wrote them an email to complain, and they replied with a few excuses and basically blamed their personnel.
They said that the boss had to personally go tot eh post office with my P800 to post it because their personnel couldn't do it. Honestly I don't think your p800 shipped on Friday becasue they were too busy sending mine. And you should also have received an email with Hong Kong Post tracking number.
If its any consolation mine hasn't been shipped yet either. I ordered a day after you KoRn I believe - during the same Chinese New Year week (last week).
I have been told it is unlikely to go out today (Saturday) but they "will try to ship your phone off first thing Monday". The "will try" bit worries me slightly, why wouldn't it be shipped definitely on Monday? 😞

I agree, I was told it was shipped the day after the order, then friday, and I havent heard from they sence.
If they dont ship the phone on monday, I will demand my money back and use another shop. I saw some post of some other webshop with p800 in stock.
Dont think I know any shop beeing so full of excuses and slow before, and I buy online all the time. 😞

Damn you. lol.
Why didn't he send Durzel and mine's as well if we was at post office?
This smells so badly....hope they are not trying to rip us off.

Bit of an update...
After kicking up a bit of a fuss I was told that the boss would personally go to the post office with my P800 to post it because their personnel couldn't do it. Sound familiar?
I even sent them a reminder email at 11:55am HK time (3:55am UK time 😞 ) so they would have no excuses about not shipping it as promised.
It's now 6:02pm HK time according to my clocks, and I haven't received any email confirmation with a tracking number yet.......
:x

I got the same mail, I sent them 2 reminders and then I called them, they said that they would ship it in 2-3 days so I told them to refund my cash if they didn't ship it tommorow.
Hi KoRn,
Did you actually get to speak to Daniel or Jason?
It worries me that we've both got the same "boilerplate" answer, and that endap800 received exactly the same excuse email. If it weren't for the fact that Sprotch and endap800 have both apparently received their orders I would be very suspicious about now.
2-3 days Worldwide delivery isn't much good when they don't actually dispatch the item until days later.
KoRn, have you got MSN or ICQ? I would like to keep in touch with you so we can share experiences/correspondance about this. 😊

I would like that to, msn = korn at jubii dot dk and icq = 138240974.
Yes I talked to Daniel I belive. And I got the exact same mail as you 2, I think they are starting to ship the oldest orders first, and sence endap800 ordered last weekend, he's the first to recive his order.
Same situation with me, by the way. Ordered last Tuesday (UK time, so they would have got it Wednesday), received an e-mail saying it would be shipped Friday and I'd receive confirmation. Heard nothing since despite a couple of e-mails (though I notice they drew on the Credit Card on Friday!).
That's only because of the Chinese new year I belive though. But still, I was not warned of this and now I can get it in my country today (if I had the money) 😞
Bassey & KoRn
Let's keep this thread active with updates, etc (emails received, conversations, etc) so that we all know where each of us stand.
As I mentioned before, the fact that Sprotch and endap800 have already received phones from HK Mobile means I'm not filled with anxiety and paranoia about scams and suchlike, but it is a bit worrying.
I don't mind delays, but being told that my phone will be personally dispatched only to find (so far anyway) that it hasn't is very annoying indeed. The Chinese Holidays I can deal with, but being lied to is out of order.

Just got a response from Daniel who has admitted they are having major problems with their staff (I won't go into specifics here as it's a public forum) but that I would definitely have my phone by the end of the week.
If the two of you want to give me your e-mail adresses I can forward the e-mail to you both.
Just had the same one I think.... quote "It's Hong Kong, what can I say, people are like this".
The only thing that worries me is that we are all receiving the same carbon-copy emails. Maybe I'm worrying over nothing, but the emails seem so personal until you realise that x other people received the same one.
I guess time will tell anyway.
I have a technology demo presentation to do at work this Thursday, and I desperately need the phone before then as it was intended to be the centrepiece of the demo.
Yep, that's the one. It is worrying, but then it could all be explained by it actually being true!
I'm just glad I paid by credit card!
Likewise. I also paid by credit card.
Just out of interest what kind of protection is offering by paying by credit card? Sorry to sound like a noob but I haven't had one long, always used a Switch card 😊

Durzel, k0rn, et al,
I didn't receive my precious800 yet, but according to the Hong Kong Post tracking number, it's in customs here in Spain and I hope to get it tomorrow. If it turns out to be an empty box, I'll be sure to let you all know. 😃
BTW, make sure you all claim your $20 discount for late shipment. I complained and got $20 thru PayPal.

Hi,
I assume your phone got stopped by Customs - any idea how much duty you have to pay yet?
Also - what format was the Hong Kong tracking number email in? Was it a hand written note by someone at HK-Mobiles or did it look like an automated form? Any information which I can dream about at night would be great.
I feel like Charlie in Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory - waiting to get my gold ticket in my email box. 😞
Well, it's 12:13 pm down there now and I still got no tracking email, think I just wants my money back.
I know there must be some other shops where they have control of things and don't let me/us wait in ages.
Bassey >> Kan you please forward the mail to me ? I didn't get any.
korn at soulfly dot dk
I used Mobilefly from Singaoure and it actually took around 4 days to get to NYC.
I didn't want to deal with Paypal so I payd through wire transfer.
The phone is great, but they promised me it would come with R1D and it didn't. Still no major bugs.
I complained and they where very responsive, they'll take the phone back for another one or a full refund or I can keep this one and they'll give me a 100 $ refund.
I'm happy with how they've dealt with this, and I'm consiering wether or not to exchange it since the delivery's fast,
I had to pay no custom's fee. Should I risk it again?
Hm....I think I will buy it at mobilefly too.
Plan changed, I just found out I am going away for 5 days so I'l just stick to hk-mobile, would you please keep me informed of status on you'r phones?
😊

It looks like an automated form but it's not because it misspellt my name. It was sent by Jason Yin and itemizes the contents of teh shipment and the list line reads:
"Status of shipment can be checked directly from Hong Kong Post with your tracking number: EExxxxxxxxxHK. Please refer to the below website: http://www.hongkongpost.com/speedpost/index_e.htm"
Then when you go to the HK Speedpost web side you get a comment like:
"Item Number : xxxxxxxxx
Speedpost Tracking
The item (EExxxxxxxxxHK) was handed over to the Customs Office at the destination for clearance on 8-FEB-2003. "
The web site through is very slow and sometimes doesn't work. UPS/FEDEX/DHL & Co. are far superior in depth and currency of information provided. Today is teh 11th and this is the status since 3 days.
According to my watch its 6:02 PM in Hong Kong and 2:02 AM where Daniel is (San Francisco).
Another day has gone by and I still have no email confirmation with tracking number. This is now the SECOND day where I have been told my phone would be personally dispatched by Daniel's business partner, Jason.
Clearly despite these assurances, for whatever reason, this hasn't happened.
To say I am extremely frustrated is an understatement.
What makes it worse is that despite the fact I have emailed Daniel, I know I wont get any kind of response til at least 4pm UK time, 6 hours away, because he will still be in bed. By that time it will be midnight in HK - so he wont be able to do jack to fix my problems, except make more hollow promises.
So yet another day goes by and my phone is still lying in the warehouse, assuming its even there.
:x :x :x :x :x
Thanks for the mails.
Well, I guess if what they wrote is true, they do have problems, and if they are going to ship orders "manually", they would probablly start from the first orders and working forward, that's why our orders (from thursday) don't get shipped before tomorrow I guess.
It do actually belive them, cause I have seen more websites with some of the same problems posted on their news.
It's annoying to have to wait for the phone, but a couple of more days?
Yeah, I've been waiting since July so a day or two more won't make much difference.
The main annoyance is that my partner lost her mobile the weekend before last and I said "don't bother buying a new one. My P800 will be here in a few days and you can have my old one".
I suppose I should have known better!
