Anyone ordered from hk-mobile.com?
Thursday comes and gos in Hong Kong and still no tracking number...
None here either 😞

Ditto.

Anyone tried contacting the UK/Euro rep listed on their web site? I sent him an e-mail yesterday but have heard nothing.

I've spoken to Mohit (UK/Euro rep) a few times on the phone and hes been friendly enough, but ultimately useless in solving anything. All he has done with me is repeat the same promises I've already heard from Daniel - "you'll get your phone before the end of the week", "I'll speak to Daniel and get him to contact you", etc.

I'm beginning to wonder if its all a big scam. Or maybe they don't even have the phones to sell.

Being told the same hollow promises over and over again doesn't exactly fill me with a great deal of confidence.

Not only is my presentation officially ruined (I knew that yesterday fortunately and had started making recovery phone calls) but I'd say it was pretty certain now that I won't see the phone before next week, if at all.

Your thoughts?

Well ...if the phone's don't get shipped tommorow I think we are better of finding another shop and demand our money back.

I agree.

It's ironic really, I ordered it from HK Mobiles because at the time there were no shops in the UK that sold it. From Monday onwards, it appears, it will be available on Orange.

The way things are going at the moment I will be able to walk into town and buy it quicker than I will get it from HK Mobiles, despite having ordered it over a week ago.

I can go down and buy one right now here in Denmark, they was in stock thursday allready 😞

Unfortunately, I live in the Isle of Man where we have a licensed monopoly (Manx Telecom, a subsidiary of o2). The odds of them getting off their backsides and getting new phone's in stock when they can keep selling Nokia 3310's for a huge margin and unchallenged by competition are pretty slim.

So I have no choice but to shop abroad. But if HK haven't sent it by Friday, I suppose I'll be better off looking at one of the UK online shops like expansys or extele.

Just spoke to Mohit (UK/Euro representative) and he told me that Daniel was flying out from San Francisco to Hong Kong, and that he would try and speak to Daniel.

..not that I expect anything magical to happen from that, I expect several more days will go by with woeful tales of delivery drivers quitting, pigs flying and suchlike, and that my phone will definitely, definitely (not just definitely this time) be taken down to the Post Office personally by Jason, just as soon as the phone itself materialises from thin air.

To say I am extremely angry at the moment is an understatement.

Why don't you call Daniel or Jason ?

It's 2:40 am in the US. And I don't even know if Jason speaks English. I could try ringing him I suppose but to be honest Daniel is a company director - if the buck is being passed by him, who else is left to get things done? It wouldn't surprise me if Jason just said the same thing.

Has anyone got Jason's email address?

Hi everybody,

Just wondering if we should all file paypal complaints and demand or money bvack because this is craxy now.

Do whatever you think is necessary. You already suggested this and not too many people fell for it. If I were you, I'd change my name from 'Guest' and try to gain more credibility and then just do whatever you think is necessary. Just DO IT!!!!!

(God damn, I've got to change my signature sometime. 😃 😃 )

spoke to U.K rep and asked for refund he told me we should talk to Danny. Now, cant get a hold of Danny. Now I am really pissed. What do you guys think we should do because this is to much now.

Danny is back in Hong Kong now and is currently in bed sleeping off jet lag. It's 12:34am there now so I assume he will be up and about in roughly 9 hours.

I'm personally going to wait until tomorrow to see if it is finally dispatched. If I have still heard nothing by Monday then I will be asking about refunds then.

I'm away from now until Monday so I'll see then. I notice the minimum Orange contract is 15 a month so that works out at 480 over the year IF they do have phones from Monday.

Might be worth it even if I can't use the SIM over here. It'd be handy having a UK SIM for when I am there and the 15 a month would just be a sort of payment plan!

Okay, here's my experience. I bought from Mobile Fly, 759$ (now 749). They're in singapore. I got my phone in four days but it had the r1B firmware when I was told it would come w/ r1d (this was an unfortunate mistake by one employee, they usually send R1B). I also found a little scratch so I was unhappy...well I contact them and I have never been treated better. I mean, they offered me a 150$ refund if I wanted to keep the phone or a full refund. I asked for an eschange and they agreed. I did not want to return the phone until the new one arrived and they agreed. They're covering shipping expenses for the exchange. I was contacted by several different offices and eventually by the sales rep. Since I had made such a fuzz the sales rep went directly to the provider and demanded a unit w/R1D for me, even though I accepted the fact that the new one would have R1B. Now they're shipping and I should get it on monday. I would get it on sunday, but Fed ex doesn't deliver 😃. So, if I it seems I'll get 2 phones on less than the time HK is taking to send 1. My advice?....try mobilefly.com.

You can read other postings regardin this matter under my name. Posting my concerns (i.e Weird, need advice) so you'll know this is not a sales pitch. Good luck all, and get your money returned 😉

Still, it is food for thought. If mine isn't shipped on Friday I will be cancelling and either buying from Orange, or MobileFly.

He does talk english, it was he who I talked to last day about getting refunded my $$. So he must have something to say in that firm.

Did he say why he hasn't gone down to the Post Office with our phones despite supposedly being asked by Danny twice on two consecutive days?

No I wasen't aware of that at the moment.

Looks like our phone's dont get shipped today either. 😞

Spoke to Jason just now and he told me they are out of stock (and have presumably been out of stock since I ordered). He said they would be expecting some more in at the end of the month.

With that information, I asked for a refund.

WHAT?!?! So it's all a lie.

I want a refound.

Well, this is exactly what he told me on the phone when I rang him. When I asked him why I was told that they were in stock when I ordered, I was told it was a miscalculation of the stock.

I guess some people (Sprotch, endap800, etc) got the last units, and they (HK Mobiles) haven't had any since.

Either way I've asked for a refund - I can't wait until the end of this month to get one.

I have just writed jason, and cc'ed daniel for refound.

And ordered the phone here in Denmark, should be here by thursday. Damn this really pisses me off 😞 ...

Well I ordered mine from HK-Mobile on 01-FEB, after delays and general clumsiness it was shipped on 07-FEB (for which I received a $20 refund), it arrived in customs in Spain on 08-FEB (not bad, I thought), and it has been sitting in customs ever since. I have no details to contact Spanish customs noe Hong Kong Speedpost. So I asked Jason and Daniel to track this for me and see why there is a delay.

Meanwhile I was looking into Mobilefly.com out of curiousity, and see that they ship phones with Fedex and TNT (highly recommended) and declare their goods as gifts valued at 50. They also only charge $700 for the phone. So, I'm just sorry I didn't order from Mobilefly. :x :x

Mobilefly charge $749.99 according to their website, plus a minimum of about $30 for shipping. Shipping via FedEx or TNT (recommended by them) costs a lot more ($50-$80).

They also add a 6.6% surcharge for PayPal transactions. 😞

I have to pay about $ 850 for mine now, but I don't really care, now I at least know I will get the phone and can check where it is, and ever pick it up if I want.
