Although the Next Gen N-Gage platform doesn't launch until some time in November, you can already register your N-Gage username right now . The platform has extensive online services including game sales and downloads, demo downloads, online multiplayer gaming, instant messaging between players etc. You can also use the username on the official N-Gage message boards. If you've already registered for N-Gage Arena on the original generation N-Gage, you don't need to do it again, the old username will work on the Next Gen platform.

The username is for the N-Gage Arena service, which is very much like a mobile phone version of Xbox Live. As well as allowing online gaming, the username is part of the online N-Gage community. The Next Gen Arena is much more extensive than the original generation version, with far more interactivity possible through the phone itself.
