Happy Halloween!

There's not long to go until it's officially November 2007, the month when the Next Gen N-Gage platform is due to go live. We still haven't heard exactly when this will happen, but some rumours are pointing to a launch this Friday. One thing we can confirm is that starting tomorrow AAN will be ramping up the number of new articles, so you might want to subscribe to the AAN RSS news feed to make sure you never miss a thing.

For those of you still wondering, when the Next Gen N-Gage platform finally does launch the Next Gen N-Gage games will become available to anyone who has a compatible phone (at the moment that includes the Nokia N73, N81, N81 8GB, N93, N93i, N95 and N95 8GB).

When the platform goes live, if you have a compatible phone you will be able to download the Next Gen N-Gage software, which will give you access to the games as well as the new N-Gage online community functions (friends lists, game points, member profiles, instant messaging etc). The games will all have free demos so you can try them out, and if you want to buy them they will cost 6 to 10 euros plus any local taxes in your part of the world.

Compatible models manufactured after the launch date will have the software built-in, as will future firmware updates for compatible models.
