PC Suite 6.82

There's a new version of Nokia's PC Suite on the streets (thanks Darla). PC Suite v6.82 includes more network operator support, bug fixes, an improved Nokia Music Manager and Nokia Software Updater integration.

Passion for Widsets

Widsets, java-hosted online widgets that bring you news or filtered web lookups, have a steadily growing following. They're also partly funded by Nokia, fully compatible with every Symbian OS smartphone in the last few years and the always excellent E-series blog has just published an eloquent Widsets write-up.

Quite possibly... I review Proporta's new all-encompassing USB Mobile Device Charger, more a comprehensive charging system suitable for worldwide use of smartphones, PDAs, iPods, etc. Well thought out, even if you do need a gadget bag to keep all the bits in!

Trivopaedia 2.2 - new for 2007!

If you're into trivia, pub quizzes or fact finding, note that my free Trivopaedia (... a trivia enecyclopaedia) has had a huge update and is now up to v2.2, with over 300 entries. It runs inside (the also free) Mobipocket Reader for all Symbian OS-powered smartphones. Comments welcome!

Media Center to Smartphone

Makayama has announced Mobile TV Center 1.0. A world's first, it lets you watch recorded TV shows on more than 500 mobile devices, using your Windows Media Center. Compatibility includes many Symbian devices from Nokia, Sony Ericsson and Motorola. The full press release follows.
