I've just released a new version of my Windows XP skin (the "official" one hosted on the SymbianWare site)! 😊
Since the SymbianWare page has not been updated yet with the new version, I thought to post the file here too to make you all enjoy my work! This is probably the most accurate Windows XP skin you can find around and has been made from scratch by me. All the icons have been ripped and edited from my XP. I tried to make perfect masks for every icon so say goodbye to the ugly white borders around icons because with my icons you can use every background you want and always get perfect looking icons! In short, here's what's new in v1.1:
- Made some changes to the background image to make the skin compatible with the new version of Smart Launcher (1.01) which added signal and battery bars.
- Added new icons for "Applications" and "Doris Browser".

what is the mean of create an skin by simply maka a few
color changing to a previews release background skin (one of mine)
and put it you name on it?... and change some icons...
I don�t have any problem with that, but i don�t like skins with
names on the background, because look too personalized skin,
only you will use that, don�t you think?
Anyway i don�t care about it�s my background or not, my suggestion
is that try to don�t use names on the back, in order to any people use it...
just it�s my opinion... and may be from many other people here...

I like bright colours and that is why some of the XP type icons appeal to me, but I certainly don't want people thinking that I'm running a Microsoft platform on my phone.
Should we discourage it? of course not! People have what they want. But [RANT] think about this, someone looks at your spanking new Series 60 phone with an XP theme, and doesn't it look nice! So they go down the local Carphone Warehouse and, looking at the phones on display, which one best matches what they've just seen? Hmmmm, that SPV one looks pretty!
Perception is everything in the market (unfortunately, and that's why Microsoft are doing so well in the PC market, people perceive them to be high quality, stable and the standard), so don't let's advertise Microsoft more than that lying behemoth pays for. It is quite capable of twisting the truth for itself [/RANT]
Some of the themes on here are really nice though! Anybody thinking of porting Noia over to sLauncher?

Well,TANKERx,the SPV doesn't exist here and it never will,less then 10% of the computers user have heard of OS's other then windows.You should see the expressions on their faces when i start talkin about Linux and dual booting 😃
I have encountered only one country man the know's the real power of his series 60 device,most of them dont have a clue what Symbian is and use their devices mainly of taking pictures.
I dont think that i'm puting in danger the Symbian community with little showing off for my Non Techy friends 😃

I very need in sLauncher
-FONT SIZE SETTINGS (this fonts at icont text is very big)
-ICONS ON TOP PANEL (etc. BT connection icon, Headset icon, Alarm icon eto...)

i have a problem with my 7650 launcher.... whenever i switch the launcher on i go to standby and back.... its back to default settings...
can someone teach me as to get it back to normal ?

i have 3650 and installed smartlauncher on mmc.....
i formatted the fone and after that... i get system error whenever im accesing the menu...
i have tried using other memory cards and it works fine....
the mmc which isnt working is the one who has smartlauncher installed..
please help me....

Do you have PC reader?
Send the sLauncher SIS file to your phone via Ir or BT to reinstall it, it should fix things.

The Icon Changer will be released as standalone as well as part of the "all-in-one" package.
It will be released very soon (within the next two weeks).
Unfortunately due to unforseen circumstances it will not be available as freeware:
Icon Packs will be distributed freeware however the Icon Maker (PC Edition) will cost �7.
People who purchase the Icon Maker will be given a half price reduction on the "all-in-one" package as and when it becomes available.
Beta Testers will receive the Icon Changer package for free.

I personally think that charging for the Icon Maker is a good idea if the icons can be used with similar apps,like sLauncher.
