stereo?

The N-gage would pretty much beat the 6600 only if it had a camera. The N-gage has stereo output, can play MP3's and contains almost all the features in the 6600. If the size is reduced and a camera is added to the N-gage, this would pretty much satisfy everyone dont you think???

INDEED

Well yeah but it's called marketing. Different devices attract different people and this way you sell more.

This is what I hate about phones... THERES ALWAYS SOMTHING MISSING!! Why can't cant there be a phone with every thing in it?? Bluetooth, Camera, The works!!

They could have fewer models but with a higher price but then again they wouldnt have 40 % off the market for long.

In such "marketing climate" go for the runner up
they usally add value too beet the big guy

Example AMD v Intel ( soon maybe equal btw)

Thats why Siemens has so much stuff in one phone !!!!

P.S. I still cant beleive stereo output via bluetooth from series60 is
impossible too relay too anything bluetooth enabled stereo device like
this http://www.stekorea.com/e-pro1.htm D.S.

İts very simple that nokia dont put stereo output in series 60 BECAUSE THEY USE THE MARKETING like allways we only up a little in each step and nokia and the others win money
dont you see theres no differences between 3650 and 6600 they called 3650 young phone and 6600 buisness phone this is the only difference (dont be smurf and dont say 65k k color and 6 mb bla bla) the marketing is that
Dont u think nokia can made a phone with a stereo output and 128 mb mmc and 16 mb "RAM" with built in camera camcorder mp3 player....
THEY CAAAN but they want sell the others before like n-gage and many others
Maybe they have the 3g phones but they dont sell them ... fuckin tech marketing we'll wait soo long for them

To be honest, I dont see the difference between using 3rd party MP3 player software of having it already installed on the phone when you buy it. Whats the fuss about?

The mono sound output is more of a concern but even then why would you expect stereo sound from a handset aimed at the business end of the market? The SX-1 is aimed at a younger audience hence its inclusion, and the appaling "fashion" keypad.

Actually the SX1 isnt aimed at the "young" its aimed at EVERYONE....The SX1 is the clear winner here and in my book its close to perfection!

I don't think it's about the player (SW part, that is), but whether there is dedicated chip for playing MP3. And I believe N-Gage will have that, which means better audio quality, less battery used, less process time hogged from other SW etc...

Good point, i'd not thought of it like that. Having said that I do think that all of the Series 60 devices run on very similar hardware, and that none have a dedicated processor or DSP for MP3 playback.

I wouldn't have a clue about the Ngage but I dbout it? I think it just has a fast ARM based CPU which is capable of MP3 playback; i dont think we'll see it playing MP3's and a game of Tomb Radier at the same time.

Then again, i'm no expert...
