Me dads got a P800, which dont impress me, and ive had 7650, 3650 and now ive got an ngage. The touchscreen on the P800 just becomes annoying after a while. Not very user friendly.
IMO series 60 are the best because you can manipulate them more than UIQ.
I cant see the point for the new series 60 phone at this stage thou. The only real addition to the 6600 is the 65000 colours.
A new communicator sounds interesting thou. About time they improved it. Hopefully a built in video and image camera and a slender design.

yipee im kinda happy now cant wait for it to come out now. its series 60 and the brand nokia that my hands are used to by now. so its kinda diff. to use another brand now. had a p800 for a while but i sold it. and the reason im not gettin a ngage cuz in my country it does not have the 64 mb card and also the games part i still havent got hold of. also the ngage i played on had only 4 mb on it.
also its kinda off but why is the 6220 still in comin soon section. ive played on it already its for sale in india already.
ok so since 6600 does have 65k colors and its the same size as the 7650 & 3650. i was wondering if it was possible to fit the 6600 screen on the 7650 or 3650. are ppl plannin to experiment in the near future bot this. 3660 is the same display as well.
I agree,the 6600 is not is the same class with the p900 but niether is the Communicator.
SAbz911,you can manipulate Series 60 more,how's that?Why doesn't Series 60 come with emulators like mame,sega game gear or what was the moneky island interpreter called or Ogg players or even half working Quake I ports.
IMO Series 60 is a user interface meant for the masses,less powerfull,simple and easy to use on the other hand,UIQ is more complicated,not as easy to use so Jo Regular doesn't fancy it very but its a lot more powefull then Series 60.
And once again,the new Sendo a lot more powerfull and way more featured then the 6600 but it would still get negative responses here,and why?Because it doesn't have Nokia with big shiny letter writen all over it.Well,that's life 😉

It's not just about saying NOKIA.
I like Nokia because:
- it has good design. not all of them, but the ones I like.
- the interface is very friendly.
- I have Nokia phones since I bought a mobile, and I had only one problem. With my 7650 a key that didn't work. They changed it within one day.
Now... Sendo:
-it has a medium-good design
- the interface is very friendly (it's the same series 60, right?)
- I almost don't know the brand.
In a last analysis this would be important. However, the phone is extremely appealing in terms of equipment. If it have a good price, i might give it a try. But let's wait.
So, Nokia isn't a must have, but it's a good product in my opinion. That's why I choose Nokia.

Yep, thats the human brain for ya :P I dont like Sendo, Next Nokia smartphone probably will also have flashcamera and 65k screen and 32MB RAM (lets hope they dont place MMC under the the battery anymore). Sendo made nice phone, but i'll wait for the next best series 60 phone from Nokia.

I dont think that the fact that nobody bothered to port Emame32 and other emulators to the S60 platform makes it a less powerfull one. S60 has nothing to do with phone specs. It is just that S60 phones just arent released for power users like ghostdog says and therefore doesnt need much RAM or CPU speed. However, like I said zillions of times....It all depends on what you want for yourself.
I, for instance, like to have a medium sized good looking phone that can do stuff. Nothing more. I have my PC and my car-computer for everything else. I dont like laptops though! So Sendo is aestheticaly in the wrong direction as well as the P900. Of course thats my opinion and thats why I am going for.......all S60 ones ..... except the N-Gage. I am NOT a Gamer!

im so bored of seeing sites and only pics of 6600. lol. no offence to ne1 here. im waiting for the day, when we all have it in front of us and we are talkin bot its features and its problems. too bad here we are still stuck at the launch. lets see wht country gets in by the last week of oct. fingers crossed.
I've just called to Nokia (Club Nokia Belgium) and I asked for the delivery date for the 6600,
They told me that there is some delay on the product and that it will be released as a christmas phone (december).
The Date on the website is faulty and will be changed soon...
Other country's than Belgium could get the phone earlier, but definitly not this month, this because; the production has started in end of august.
