Just now i tried formatting my phone and it asked for the lockcode and all those stuffs like the new time and date but after which it stays unformatted, I can now confirm that you will have to remove the font before formatting. FYI. :tongue:

this application is cool.

i've successfully changed the fonts on my 6600.

but i'm facing a sumwot strange problem with this easy gdr creator. strange coz nobody has complained anything like this yet.

my problem is while using ttf fonts with gdr creator, when i reach down to 4th or 5th tab (dats 'Latinbold 17/19'😉 i always get this dialogue box saying 'Text exceeds memo capacity'. i click on 'ok'. behind the 'Please wait..' dialogue box keeps on running n running but nothing happens.

i wonder why is this happening. can sumone plz help?

right now i'm using this 'Neuropol' font dat i dwnld from this forum. which is already in .gdr format.

BTW i'm using win 98.

I have already corrupt my software by copying the gdr file in fonts folder so i like to use .sis for instaling font and font remover to change but i dont have much .sis files for installing font any idea how to make one.

Coz i feel there is some settings are made for right and left buttons fonts and Menu or operator logo fonts and then the icon fonts are different

and any way copying gdr files on my 3650 has already gave me trouble.

So looking for only .sis files

i would have got those fonts myself but s u can c i'm not able to convert .ttf into .gdr. dats really frustrating...

n may i bother u wid one more thing?..

Yes I can do this for you but as well as every one else in this thread who are (i can say) fanatics about this new found customization. Post your request and im sure there are others who are willing to help. But not all good looking fonts look good when u convert them. You will have to test them first considering the size and the readability and install the font in a way that will take some time(as of now). I hope someone makes it easier for us to install or preview these fonts before using it.

i susesfull make fonts for 6600 but there is no greek lang. so i see all greek letters as spaces can i make a greek font for 6600 , garamond in example

Once again!

My father just bought a new Nokia 6600 by my suggestion. He doesn`t see well and now he is very sad because of small fonts on Nokia 6600.

As this is Symbian phone I would like to have some help from you.

Please help me find a soullution for :

- bigger fonts in Address book
- bigger fonts in Messages

So I don`t need different kind of fonts but only BIGGER fonts. Please help me find a sollution, because else my father will change the phone for some phone with bigger fonts and I`m sure that it will be not so good phone as Nokia 6600.

Help!

I suggest u read the forum so you will learn as well on how to make fonts. This is a somewhat tedious work of trial and error to your symbian phone and is a little bit subjective as well(on the type of font you will appreciate) Most people here are now appreciating the new found GDR Creator so i suggest u dip in this pool and do your father a very nice font that he will appreciate. Whats good with that is that the credit will go solely to you. 😉

I have muggers font but i dont know if he agrees on sharing it. And he said that he's still working on some of the symbols as *# and some other symbols doesnt show in this font. Will post it as soon as i get his approval, or maybe he can post it himself. Im using it now, 😃 Great font Muggers!

You can even make fonts and if u feels some difficuilty then u can ask.
Search in Googles for font and there is .gdr convertor.

yes chweetguy u can create ur own fonts to explore the possibilities and with that gain knowledge, like what i recently experienced with muggers font though i really dont know if that was the one that caused the problem, where my phone had the four blinks problem(shut down four times-caused me some great bucks, and pissed me off since its not yet payday here so i had to get money somewhere else-hihihi), so i had to get it flashed (same reason why im sticking with the fonts i made- it might be a better idea to just know what ttf files were used). 😃 Anyway share your dilemmas with the gdr creator maybe some people experienced it as well and has solutions for it.. Peace.

PS: i have posted the fonts i made here in response to some other query about the Akbar font. Please read my previous post. :tongue:

Seeing as it's a Symbian 8.0 device the procedure might be different, and I'd like to be 100% sure it works without causing any problems before I try it on my phone.

If it does work, expect to see a whole load of new font sets from me 😊

badger, i'm using 6630. copied neuropol fonts to it and only font changed at FExplorer and not mesenger or menu. do you have this problem?

starworld, I have only used a few fonts I have created myself. Not the neuropol ones. I beleive that there are 3 diff ones, make sure that you are using the correct font for what you are trying to do.

i tried everything said here (the whole 12 pages lol 😊 )
but am having a problem
when i tried to reboot fone after installing the .gdr file
my fone just shows the nokia logo in blue
then goes white
this repeats 3 times then the phone
shuts off!
i need to use my fone but cant turn it on

any suggestions? thanks

ps: i'm using a 3650 with 256 mmc
