Ok, I've been playing around with new fonts and making .gdr files. It's really simple. There is a .gdr creater found here. When saving the file, make sure to change the .zip to .exe. The program itself is in a different language but once you play around with it you can figure out what to do.
You can get fonts from www.dafont.com. The style that I used was neuropol. Download whichever font you choose and save it to your desktop. Unzip the font file and save the folder onto your desktop. Open the .gdr creator. Click the first bar of question marks and then search for the ttf file of the font. In order to use the symbols select the Symbol/Unicode selection. Click the 2nd button with the ??? and the fonts and symbols should show up in the blank field. Make sure you do this for all 5 tabs on the right or else the gdr file wont save. Once done click Compile to GDR and your done!
WOw nice font and Great job Darla!!! Now thats something to keep me busy for a while. Precautions still in doing such modifications people.
FYI: Its easier to remove the fonts using the font remover posted somewhere in this thread. I have tried it just now using the akbar font and it work good. 😉
QUESTION: Can we mix fonts into one GDR? I havent tried it yet as im a lil reluctant errr, scared about the problems i might run into.... 🙄

Wow, Kamalayan what theme is that??? I think you might be able to combine different fonts using that creator but I haven't tried.

I didn't get you.
Not able to opening. When i download it show as egdrsteup.zip when i extract or open its says that file is croupt.

When you are saving the file, change the extension from .zip to .exe. The program is an executable thats why its saying its corrupt.
I am able to Download the .exe file but it is another lang. Could you please tell the procedure now.

but pasting the .gdr files didnt work before.. cant we make them into .sis? i tried the .gdr files before but they never worked for me, i used tahoma.sis instead.. well im trying this out right now.. hope pasting the file works..
i did exactly what was written by Darla, but-
I keep on receiving a message when i click on compile to gdr -
"Font load not complete".
What have i not done to compile to gdr??
(btw- i downloaded the dark crystal font from www.dafont.com)
EDIT - Oh its Ok, i didnt understand when Darla said "5 tabs", now i do. It works perfectely!

Darla, im using a 3660 so i have no theme only some icon changer, i used akbar font from what can be seen above. Cheers!!!

I have tried compiling into 1 gdr a couple of fonts but i cant see any difference even though i mixed them one font totally different from the other... Hmmm... I have tried it a couple of times but the result seems to offer only one font. With little success only two.... Anyone's got a mix? I want all wacky and the likes but i want the writting font as clean and mssans like.
www.dafont.com, that site wont open with me, anyway so i downloaded another .ttf file from somewhere and tried to use this creator but when i click on the second question mark it gives an error.. dont know what it is, i did the uploading with all the five tabs but when i click on compile, 'font load not complete' something like that.. help?
I wonder why it wouldnt open... Regarding the other query, maybe u can try using another font just try if its not the font causing the problem.
yes kamalayan i used another font and it worked, i now have the .gdr file but when pasting it in fonts in the C system directory and rebooting the phone, it doesnt work! can u please help?

First - thanks for all the information in this thread. I have re-read the tread several times however I am still lost.
My husband gave me a Nokia 6670 for Christmas - and I am still on the fence to see if I like it or not. My biggest gripe is the font size. I had a Samsung before and I really like it - mostly for the large font.
I am not techno savy at all! - and didn't understand most of what this tread was saying. So, if you have the time, would you please explain to a real novice user how to increase the font size.

Hey man I have copied and paste the gdr file in my c:\system folder by creating a fonts folder and putting the comic.gdr file in my 3650 on reboot guess what my phone opens and Nokia Logo appears and then phone restart and then Nokia logo n restart and on 3rd attempt it shut off

i pasted a .gdr file and then created another one to try a different font but when i tried to delete the previous .gdr file it says already in use and the folder of 'fonts' wont also delete! help? what can i do to change the font back to the original or to another .gdr file?
User Font Remover .sis and remove with that and then reboot.
