What drivers are you using? I tried 1.2.2.16,they were not made specifically for the MSI BT adapter i have, and something similar happened,mRouter displayed only few ports which were unusable.
I've got the latest Billionton drivers as linked to in this thread. They are Widcom version 1.3.2.7 I believe.
DataSuite just doesnt want to report the COM ports. It shows COM port 1, which shows up under device manager an "Communications Port 1" but it doesnt show any of the others (Com 3 -12) which show up in device manager as "Bluetooth Communications Port (Com xx)"
Any ideas?
Are you using a Billington USB dongle?
In my case, the missing COM ports problem appears only when i try to use NON MSI bluetooth drivers with my MSI bluetooth adapter.
hi guys.

I have a Belkin pcmcia fbt002 card and sftware version 1.2.2.4c

If you goes to page to off this thread it has link to the good drivers... 😊

To GhostDog:
Damn! I had them on my web site when I released the BTIRFileWatch utility. Because a lot of people downloaded it, I had to remove it! (390 MB traffic in 3 days only by this file!). I will do something for you! 😉
where can i download BTIRFileWatch from... i'm having the exact same problem with my connection. i've got a D-Link DBT-120 bluetooth...
BTIRFileWatch is a utility for BT/IR file transfer and manipulation. You can find it >here<.
If you want BT 1.2.2.16 drivers, I can send you a PM with the exact URL address, but keep in mind that GhostDog had some problems with it (read his post above).
I just got my bluetooth to work with my computer, so now i can surf the net with my phone and use im+ as well. If you have norton security or any firewall protection program, turn it off so that mroute will connect to pc suite and it will work.
Strange, I can not see the lst 2-3 replies??
hi guys, i used all my resources and ways to solve my problem with my PENBLUE bluetooth..(IVT corporation).... with my win98SE,still i cant make it work. i can send thing from my PC to Phone... but not PHONE to PC... i want to store my images/pics from my phone TO my PC. Please guys... help me!!!!!
Have you tried the AcceptOther key in registry? new widcomm drivers?
Strange, I can not see the lst 2-3 replies??
Yes i know,it hapend to mi quite a few times.
I've given up trying to send from phone to PC and bought 'file manager' from epocware.
Very easy to use and I can now download my images to the PC - plus it also see's my MMC card in my 3650, something what my PC Suite does not.
I'm happy - Much better solution in the end - I dont even have to get my phone out my pocket to get my images 😊
Will.
Hi
Ive got two-way communication going on between my 7650 and PC. I have a bunch of JPEGs on the phone, and can transfer them fine to the PC over PC Suite. However, i have 3 other JPEGs on the phone that dont show up when i connect to PC Suite, so i have no way of transferring these. They are a different size to the others, but i see no reason why they dont show up. If i goto send -> via bluetooth on the phone, it says image sent, but where does it send it to on the computer (if it IS actually working!?), as its not in the shared folder on My Bluetooth Places. Any ideas of how to transfer these or why they dont show up on PC Suite?
Cheers
Jon
Errr - why not do a file search on your PC and see where the files are??
Click start/search/files or folders and enter the name of the jpg your looking for.
yeah, ive already tried that with no luck. so im assuming it didnt get transfered. but the phone said it did! :-?
OK guys,
Following this thread I have now managed to get PC suite working..........THANKS!!!!! (Despite not having an "Accept Other" to change to 1)....not too sure, but it may be that I un-installed the Nokia software, and re-installed a newer version, when o2 replaced my original faulty 7650. I ASSUME its a new version, as I now have an additional icon in my task bar, despite when right-clicking it, it does nothing). The new Icon is NOT m-router, OR the bluetooth icon, I thin kit was something liek "Nokia connectivity" or something, and looks like a little phone with a cable comming out the bottom) (Sorry, cant be more descriptie at the moment, as I'm on my works PC......
NOW heres the next Problem.
I have a TDK dongle attached to my win98 PC (Sorry, dont know which version etc)......I still cant use the TDK "phone" software, as the phone wont connect when using hte TDK software.
The TDK software has alo more feeatures on it that look usefull (Like being able to edit your "Contacts" easily etc, but I just cant get the phone to connect, despite the phone/pc being paired etc when using "my bluetooth places/PC suite"
anyone have any ideas on my problem?? (Other than being poor at writing stuff! 😮ops: )
Cheers,
mburton2
It may be because the TDK software doesnt work with 7650.
Well, that MAY be the case, but I was sold the TDK dongle/software, as it was what carphonewarehouse.co.uk recomended for use with the 7650...
maybe I just got suckered into sales-talk :x

PANTS!!!...I gforgot to login again.....this was me..........

The TDK adaptor doesn't work with the 7650 "out of the box" but unlike any other manufacturer, the TDK site has about 4 pages of easy steps dedicated to getting you up and running with a 7650 and their bluetooth adaptor.
Does it??....cool, I'll go search a bit then.......Cheers 😊

Hi guys,
I would appreciate if anyone could tell me how to solve a connectivity problem of my nokia 7650 and my belkin USB adaptor (bluetooth). After I pair the devices, I cannot connect using the icon. It shows no response. Also when I startup my pc and belkin software loads, I get the following message: "ERROR:Unable to start the bluetooth stack service".
Thanks.

If you use Billionton, you can do it easily using our guide:

i hvae the 3Com connection manager installed, and can send files / images to the 7650. Next step, install the data suite for 7650. However, the Datasuite cannot "see" any Bluetooth com ports. (this has happened on 2 different machines). I have to resort to synchronising using the infrared... bit pointless having Bluetooth...
Anyone had the same problem....?

Please help! I have an EPOX dongle made by widcomm I think. I can send pretty much everything from the PC to my phone and I can send business cards from the phone to the PC... but no images!
I read all the above thread twice, tried to change the HKEY register entry thingy and I didn't have the AcceptOther file.
Help! What can I do?

Have you installed the new widcomm drivers???
Then change the AcceptOther key to 1
