i have a locked nokia 5800 and dunno what to do to unlock it, ive tried codes, didnt work. will updating the firmware work? if not, what can i do ?? i just ordered the isim unlock chip from ebay, if that doesnt work, got no clue what to do.. im desperate !!

I've tried 65000 and other numbers i 've read in this forum but to no avail. pls help me as per nokia care i need to format memorycard but i have a lot of stuff , important stuffs i need to recover first prior format. i realise a lot of you in here cannot update due to network branding. well i know this is no use for you with the 5800 but how about voting on the symbian site to get this stupid situation changed for future handsets? i realise it may not be the best way of going about it but if enough of us support the idea, then maybe they might start to take our complaints seriously? it only takes a couple of seconds to sign up.
