guys, please look at this thread
http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=10620&start=15
what made 3650 better than 7650 besides MMC?
What's the name and category of this thread? I am posting through wap you know...
mr or ms deevon,
I'm sorry but I can't help myself to write ask you this question 😮ops:
Are you spamming? You already posted in different threads that link and oh my gosh... it kinda spamming.
I'm sure people who regularly visit AAS have seen your thread as I did see it many times.
Most of us are watching the threads for new postings to share our opinion but then we are seeing the same links of yours all over
I think your built-in Camera is faulty. I have 7650 and 3650 and I can say that the image taken by 3650 is clearer than 7650.
well sorry if i make you feel uncomfortable, but i just feel that's is quite an important issue for people who wants to buy 3650.
and as long as i'm concern, i don't feel i did spam at all :P
thx for the notice, and by the way about your answer, can u describe it a bit further , as iknow in a daylight, my 3650 pic much better then my 7650, but in a dimly lit room ???
btw i put the link cause i see that the threads is about the same topis\c, i don't post the link in unrelated thread :P
so please don't call it spaming
If it's dim light I can still say that 3650 is clearer than 7650 using highest setting and night mode. I've already seen it myself by taking picture using 7650 and 3650.
Look at the picture uploaded by other members here in AAS taken by 3650.. some are taken in daylight, some are taken night time and you'll see how clear it is even if it's a bit dark
BTW, regarding your posting many times of the same link in many threads: I know it concerns you. I hope you consider others too who are watching the thread or those people who subscribed to that thread or like users who use WAP then he will see the same link all over again. 😞 😉
thx, okay now im convinced that my 3650 are faulty :P
btw just to make sure, what software version do u use ?
finally lol... u must be buyin them from a faulty batch lol
u were scaring me
hahaha! Better have your phone checked. Coz mine too is good even at night! 😊 Are you sure you changed the mode to night?

Send it as quick as you can to place (shop) where you purchased your phone and demand them a replacement. If that phone is less than a week old then you can ask for a replacement.
The test I did is just using the built-in camera of 3650 and built-in camera of 7650... 3650 kicked 7650
I have installed the cam application of Baggis which made the pictures more clearer and great 8)
When comparing 3650 with P800, 3650 is a clear winner:

If you are talking about the voting,at has allready been discussed here.
Majority of people that vote there are the "my t68i rocks, look at that brick" kind.
What about this.
The 3650 is a cracking phone but does not have USB. How can I connect it to my desktop PC?"
What about Bluetooth,Doh!
Read the article, there is a lot more from where that came from 😊
Just for the record:P800 is really ahead hardware wise.So i dont think that the 3650 is a "clear winner" or even a winer.Only advantage that the 3650 has over the p800 is the Series 60 UI and maybe the camera(Its a software issue and probably will be resolved by a third party app or a firmware upgrade).
Yeah. I agree! P800 is the best phone. But for now, I'll stick with my 3650 coz I don't have enough money to buy the P800. Anyway, It's still a great phone 😊
I agree with you ST@RR,100%.
Actually i'm still in the middle with those two(p800 and 3650)
I just hope that i can decide before p900 or a 9650 comes out 😃

That stupid poll doesn't say anything. For a detailed comparison, read this.
And, GhostDog, if you still cannot deside between a 3650 and a P800, I really think you might wan't to take a closer look at the Siemens SX1... If you are a fan of the Series 60 platform, I think the Siemens will be a far better choice than the 3650, just check the specs and some pics here
The SX1 has everything the 3650 has and so much more, and even comes in a far better package IMO. Personally I prefer the P800 over both, having owned it for almost 4 months now, it's been a trusted companion, never let me down.
Anyways, good luck with your choice. 😊

The poll says who's the winner between 3650 and P800, by using the opinion of visitors of the site. It is just a poll like any other over the internet, for example those from AAS. Should I understand that these stupid polls from AAS never say anything?
Although the comparison form my-symbian is quite good, it is not very accurate. For example, it gives 0/1/1/1 points for Internal Storage Memory and Operating Memory, but it gives 1/1/0/1 for the price. Think only about how much memory can be added to the phone for 300 EUR difference in the price...

Polls can be tampered with. Polls and general statistics never gives an accurate/fair result.
I agree that the comparison over at My-Symbian could be better, but it's still very detailed and fairly accurate. I agree that the price issue probably should rate higher, but it's still clear as to which device has the most/best features. However, the two belong in different classes and really shouldn't be compared at all IMO.
Cheers

Could that my-symbian comparison be any more biased towards P800,
(and if yes, how?) 😃
And many wrong details there also.
But anyways, P800 is lovely device, only its price is really too high.

Yes, some. I believe that the comparison was written some time ago and therefore isn't up to date on things like "Memory card slot:
YES, MMC (no card included)", but you still get a fairly detailed comparison on the spec side of things.

And I don't believe Michal to be biased as he owns and runs a Symbian site with focus on all the current Symbian based models(like this site), and he owns both a P800 and a 3650 as well.
Hello Raven!
I know about the SX1,and i really like it.
I just hope that the release date stays still, june 2003 is very near,so i can wait a couple of months.
If not, then i guess that the P800 will be my first choice.
yes but dont forget tht p800 is more expensive in some caes nearly 1/3 to 1/2 more and for the the p800 as to many 'loose' features the flip keypad which may prove to be weak in the near future and the pen i hate the idea of it altho it may seem futuristic in some ways.....
the 3650 maybe slightly bigger but its more 'whole'.. dont get me wrong p800 is a top dog phone

Yeah, I didnt intend to say that it was Michal's fault, but just that, that is the
impression you can get from reading that comparison. (It really should get updated)
Is P800 processor speed mentioned officially anywhere?
Well,i think he go the CPU speed with testing.
Is P800 processor speed mentioned officially anywhere?
No, I haven't noticed it mentioned officially, but like I wrote a few posts back, it has been tested to be 156Mhz.
I remember it being stated on several websites that it has a 206Mhz processor, or that it is "around" 200Mhz... And I think everyone just assumed that to be the case, but with the exe file it clearly states 156000.
probs aint been stated newhere....
I have seen this kind of comparison in other forums and short discussions.
One thing I noticed is that, the removable cover is more then a looks thing. It protects the actual screen not water tight of course but still if the cover screen gets scratched by accident or what ever it should not be a great problem. Then again if the nokia 7650 screen got scratched
I have seen offers on the internet, where an extra cover is given for free so the cost of an "extra screen" is free if you look hard enough...
personally when it comes to looks, I think the 7650 has a more advanced / business look which I like more than the playful look of the 3650
(but then again you really want to play with the nokia 3650 when you have one) 😊
The specs of the 3650 made buy the 3650 in stead of the 7560.
But do not underestimate the good side of replaceable covers
euhh....that sounded a bit to much "darth vader"..... 8) ....especially when it comes to screen scratches
(but then again I do not how much it costs to repair a damaged nokia 7650 screen, maybe cheaper then a nokia 3650 cover??)
Reviving the dead again, are we? 😊
You can easily replace the case of a Nokia 7650.A new cover is pretty cheap too(And there are few original Nokia covers with different color available and varius color non original ones),its really hard to scratch the screen because the actual screen is below the plastic see-through part of the cover,so if you wanted to scratch the actual screen you will need some really sharp object, like a knife 😊 If you want to replace the scratched see-through thing, you'll need to replace the cover.

oeps didn't know that one 😮ops:
edit:
but:
- doesn't it invalidate your guarantee when you change the cover?
- i took a look again in the nokia site it seems that the 7650 wasn't made for cover switching (but then again other mobiles weren't either)
- how do you change the cover of the 7650 (i did a quick google search on it, found nothing) need an special tool?
- what is the price of such a cover (i did a quick google search on that to but found nothing either, but i seem to recal a cover seen on www...)
- though the topic may seem "dead" sometimes people still want a discussion with me about it... :-?
i did search in here too
but then again... the screen is at least safe and there is an option....
could some1 tell me how i check what software version i have on my 3650 please.
Thanks
