I think the hard way that was posted shouldn't be use by us unless *#7370# will not work or if the phone will not boot properly.
I've seen sites that mentioned that instruction and all of them noted that they used the said instructions when the phone is flaking, cannot boot instead of bringing their phone to Nokia center.
IMO, if something is really wrong with our phone, we should bring it to Nokia center. We have 1 year warranty - no need to pay for a repair or flash isn't it? 😊

after did re-formatting as per "three keys hold", licence key of Psiloc software is no more valid surprising. It displays "Application expired" and ask for newer version application to installed".
I am waiting for Psiloc Supporting Team to resolve.

I'm selling off my 3650 n getting a 6600 in exchange by paying the difference.
Would this 3-key method work to totally clean my fone.
Now i know the dealer who i'm sellin my 3650 would ofcourse format the fone, but just for kicks if i try it myself b4 handing it over to him, is that a good idea?
Will the the reset remove network provider customisation or is this also deleted and restored?
My phone will boot fine if I remove the mmc but with the mmc card in it's buggered (doesn't boot properly, display's app.closed apparcserverthe read, menu key wont work etc). How do I format the mmc but not the phone using #codes as the menus don't work?

Just to clear things up.There are no applications for Series 90 yet,the first Series 90 device is the Nokia 7700 and its not released yet.Series 90 is the user interface,while Symbian 7.0s(i think) is the OS.
I meant S60. 60, 90; they're the same thing, just viewed from a different angle. The software I installed was for UIQ. Moral - always read the install readme...

Hello i have problem with my 6600.
I am not using the phone memory when it came i saw the used phone memory it was around 600KB.
I installed some applications and games on MEMORY CARD not on the phone. After that i saw used phone memory it was 800KB. THen i removed them from MEMORY card then i checked it it was 900KB.
I store pics, sound, videos, messages, every thing on MEMEORY card,
i want to know if i am not using phone memory than why is it increasing? or is there any way to bring used phone memory bake to the initial one.
will the phone formatting (*#7370#) will do it?

Some ammount of the phones memory is used by the OS for storing logs,calendar data and even some of the applications on the MMC use the phone's memory to store some important data so don't worry about it.To hard reset your device type *#7370# .In the future,search the forum first then post.

i had an evil app on my fone tht i cudnt get rid of and it was fecking my fone ( which is only 2 weeks old!!!) i was pretty worried but i have formatted my fone successfully and now im just restoring all my settings. wish id put tht ONE app on the mem card like da rest ( easier to format, dont lose settings) but im a fool an wasnt paying attention. but i dont care now cos its fixed. im off to fone o2 and get wap/mms settings re sent. thanks again ppl....rambleramle

menu-extras-memory-options-format mem card.
thts on the 6600, dont kno bout any others.
Because if your MMC is corrupted then the phone doesn't boot properly and the menus don't work.
Hence the need for a #code#...

where do we find a card reader? i have same problem as swanky app. closed AppArcServerTH read with mmc card inserted cant format mmc card due to not being able to get into the menu's with mmc inserted. pain in the kin butthole cant seem to find an original orange replacement mmc card either 😞 can anyone help?

If you have a camera you can put your MMR inside, it will ask you if you want to format it, say yes, and then put it back on your phone and format it again. I think it could work.
