Big problems with new firmware

Ok Sendo_Ring was used again. What I do is for each lecture I use silent, sometimes it can be like this for 4 hours, then when I am out I put it back on general. Even though the ringtone for general is franz ferdinand it still played Sendo_Ring.

I am thinking it might be to do with turning the phone off at night. Coz sometimes when I turn it on it asks me for a phone code (when it does it also asks me if I want to copy new sim contacts) and sometimes it doesn't. I say this coz it used franz ferdinand until the next day.

No, I havent seen that. (my phone has Expansys UK build).

One thing I have just noticed is that although the logs (received calls, dialled calls, gprs counters etc) arent cleared, the Call Record plugin on Now screen will sometimes be clear (even when an incoming call has been received) and wont update correctly until, for example, an SMS is received.

when i take a picture with the camera and insert it in to a mms message it comes up as cannot insert file is corrupt and file not supported so i cant send any photo messages was fine before upgrade any ideas

when i switch my phone off all my logs stay there

I experienced the following. Hope somebody can verify this so we can put it in the bug list:

When creating an appointment in the calendar I want to sent this appointment to a colleague through e-mail. So I go to the appointment, choose send -> E-mail and sent the e-mail. However, the receiving party using MS Outlook will get a vcs file with the 'subject' field form the X as the 'note' fiels in Outlook. Think this has to do with the way ical is implemented: there seems to be a mix up in the SUMMARY (Outlook) and DESCRIPTION (Sendo) fields. Outlook uses the DESCRIPTION field as note field, while Sendo displays teh actual subject here.

Nog sure if the is an Outlook 2003 issue or a Sendo issue (who disregarded the official vcs guidelines?)

I also noticed the following:

When using a background picture (jpg) in the Now panes, the colour depth is reduced to 256 colours, probably to improve speed. However, this does wrong to the original picture which is displayed less sharp/colourful.

Somebody else have this?

As described in bug #2 in the list, it's possible to cheat the phone lock by waiting for the screensaver to appear and then pressing the 'hang up' (red) button. However, on my X, after doing both the main menu (menu button) and the profiles / turn off menu (power button) can't be used anymore.

So: Power button -> Lock phone -> wait for screensaver -> hang up button -> menu's disabled?

Experiences?

I have the eXpansys firmware, and the hangup button does not unlock the phone, regardless of whether or not the screensaver is active.

I also get vibration with the SMS alert.

I have Dutch firmware and both the lock problem and non-vibrating SMS alert...

When using a third party sound recording software like Extended Recorder by Psiloc, only the first 1,5 second of the recording is saved. This happens both when manually recording and when auto-recording conversations. Not only with eRecorder, but I noticed this with an other third party recorder earlier. Am I doing something wrong??? I have the firmware update (dutch)...

none of the psyloc applications work correctly with the sendo X.

It's rather a non compatibility problem than a bug.

I can't get half the Psiloc stuff to work either...World Traveler seems particularly bad. Pity, as they seem quite good otherwise.

don't know if any one noticed... but when you turn off the phone by pressing the button in top and choose the turn off option in the menu displayed, when I turn on again the phone all the register is cleared (except for call duration...)

other thing, but this time regarding the calendar of symbian phones, why the hell doesn't the birthday type has a age number on it???? :con? :con? :con?

I'm getting the same error!

Let's hope this does mean they've finished the update 😊 Kev told me earlier today that he knew it was close, but didn't have an exact date 😞

I have a new bug, cant remember seeing it here,

My battery has run completely down a few times, and when I plug the charger in the phone switches on, gets to the black and white sendo "elvolve yourself" screen, then shuts down, and it continues this cycle untill I remove the battery, unplug the charger, replace the battery and then switch on, I have to wait for the phone to completely switch on, then I can plug the charger back in.

And the really anoying thing is that I have had to turn my phone on and off so many times now just to get messages through and to have the phone working correctly that the stupid little on/off button now only works 50% of the time, it took me 5 minutes yesterday to switch my phone back on - pathetic.

This next firmware had better solve all the major issues we have notified Sendo about otherwise my phone will be heading straight back to them.

cash, that's not a sendo bug,

it is a bug caused by the program Full screen caller.

what happens is: FScaller starts up itself when starting up the phone, but it doesn't work, so the phone keeps rebooting itself when trying to load the X when it's off.

uninstall FScaller and then the autoexec file of FScaller should be gone and you will be able to startup phone without any problems
