I am going to flash my N80 to N80IE. Could somoeone (that already have flashed it maybe) tell me the supported languages in the European firmware?

I will be at the safe side before i do anything with it. Its not a cheap mobile to waste, thats for sure...

Think I may have bricked my phone

Working along ok until I got this

Ratkat wrote:You do not need to change the product code with NSS prior to flashing with Pheonix, the product code will be changed automatically by Pheonix dependant on the firmware you choose.

The idea of changing the product code using NSS was to allow people to upgrade their 'branded' phones to a 'non branded' firmware using the official Nokia Update Service (NSU). For example if you had a Vodafone N80 and connected it to the NSU you would be told there were no updates, once you had changed the product code using NSS it was then possible to update to the latest firmware using NSU

I assume that installing a 'non branded' firmware would not unlock the phone for use on other networks but simply allow me to use a firmware that is not officially sanctioned by my service provider... correct?

Has anybody successfully upgraded their N80 using phoenix on mac/intel hardware under bootcamp? Does phoenix work under bootcamp?

Its a Solution , I'll take any option just now , but Might hold off and try track down someone local with one that I could borrow ( or just pay )

Considering I've messed up once anyone point me to somewhere that will do it for me ( I know there will be a charge )

Not sure how but just using pheonix I have a working phone again and its N80i

I kept trying , and it kept failing ( at different % complete ) , and was unable to scan the product , so just did open product

Last attempt gave this

Where would this file be.

3. Because you chose the Gulf PBIE profile manually in Phoenix your product code should now match the one you installed (0542489)

I tried to install phoenix on three differents pc's now but when I run the crack I get this error time after time:

mp_component_mgr.dll NOT FOUND try reinstalling pheonix.

i upgraded my n80 to n80ie .. work great ! 😊
but i wonder if i can upgrade APAC to EMEA.. ? without any problems ?!?!
(because i'm looking for french language)

and... is there a big difference between :
0538301 EURO 1 Patina Bronze Internet Edition
0539363 EURO 1 Pearl Black Internet Edition
0539548 EURO 2 Patina Bronze Internet Edition
0539712 EURO 2 Pearl Black Internet Edition
0539473 EURO 3 Patina Bronze Internet Edition
0544109 EURO 3 Pearl Black Internet Edition
0539646 FRANCE Patina Bronze Internet Edition
0540867 FRANCE Pearl Black Internet Edition

i suppose all this firmwares will have english & french language ?!

thanks

Yes you can, I did it by accident, then flashed back to APAC

n80 -> n80ie APAC -> n80ie EMEA

now i got french language.. dictionnary.. etc.. cool !

0538301 Euro 1 ... languages:
English, Francais, Deutsch, Italiano, Portugues, Espanol

Can anyone reupload Pheonix? The link in the post is dead. Thank you. 😊
Another question, if i want to flash APAC Firmware. Do I only need to run RM-92_IE_APAC_PR_dp_v15.00_SW4.0632.0.38.exe?

Well tha went ok, I now have:

V 4.0632.0.38
13-10-2006
RM-92
Nokia N80 (536.01)

However I see people recommend people to use Product Code: 0543922

That Product Code is the UK Country Variant for Patina Bronze. (That is what stated in pheonix when I select 0543922)

One thing I have noticed is that if you go to Menu> Tools> Settings> Network you can no longer switch between automatic and manual?

However I can switch between GSM and UTMS

Hi,

Looking to update my fone but the link is broken on this site, been unable to find the software elsewhere, can anyone relink.

phoenix_service_sw_2006_34_2_156.exe -- Where can i download this?

Cheers

Mark

Hi please help me out, this is what I have done so far:

Instructions

First change product code with NSS to allow flashing to N80i

1, install NSS and run
2, plug in phone and select "pc suite" on phone
3, in NSS click "scan for new devices"
4, Click phone info
5, click enable product code and enter 0543922 (this is for Euro with English but other codes are below, if you want apac then remeber to use the apac firmware)
6, Click "write"
7, when complete unplug phone and exit NSS

UNINSTALL ALL RELATED NOKIA PROGRAMS AND DRIVERS, THIS INCLUDES NSS, PC SUITE, CABLE DRIVERS AND ANY PREVIOUS INTALLATIONS OF DIEGO, PHEONIX ETC.

Now run the 2 firmware files, 15.00 first and then 15.01 ( this is for euro)

Now to install pheonix

1, Run reaper, all instructions are included within reaoer, you dont have to download anything because all files are included here.

2, Follow instructions "how to install pheonix" (skip the download files part)

3, install Diego

4, open pheonix dongle crack (double click on it but dont install yet)

5, install pheonix untill it prompte for dongle not found.

6, click "retry" and run crack immediately and press "yes to all" in new window that opens, if done correctly then pheonix will continue to install normally, if you didnt do this correctly then close current pheonix installation and re-start pheonix installation from step 4 above - YOU HAVE TO DO THIS STEP VERY VERY QUICKLY OR PHEONIX WILL NOT INSTALL AND YOU WILL HAVE TO TRY AGAIN.

7, It may stop installing pheonix with "DESkey not found" click on yes twice then it will continue to register dll files (in some cases you will not get this message untill after you restart your computer if prompted after installation)

8, restart your computer.

9, copy pheonix crack and framework.dll into pheonix folder (this is the folder that you installed pheonic into . probably C:\Program Files\Nokia\Phoenix (but this may be different on your PC)

I have followed these steps but now when I open phoenix nothing happens, a box comes up saying phoenix and thats it for 3 hours now. Am i doing something wrong? Please help

I am facing the same problem as tony040704. phoenix froze after I ran it.

BTW, tony040704, when you were running NSS, did you have PC Suite installed in your PC at that time?

siapi wrote:I just got phoenix_service_sw_patch_2006_34_3_157.exe
Should I apply this patch?

You are welcome to try, but it broke my Phoenix 156 installation and I had to uninstall everything Nokia relared and start again from scratch.

Phoenix 2006 v156 works fine so up to you. Let us know if 157 works for you.

Yea I had PC Suite when I ran NSS. What operating system are you running? im running windows mce does that make this whole thing incompatible? Someone please help I cannot get phoenix to work, Iv followed all the steps and after I install the crack and open phoenix it just sits there doing nothing

I just flash my N80 to N80ie successfully.

I went directly to flash my phone without using NSS to change product code.

To tony, I had another computer, and I reinstall WinXP pro and all lastest windows update. Then I install phoenix and use it.

I have never nabaged to get Phoenix 2004,2005 or 2006 to work with XP Media Center Edition. Early versions of NSU also did not work on that O/S for me (I have not tried letest version of NSU).

Fortunately I have a laptop with XP Home and both Phoenix and NSU work fine on that.

tony040704 wrote:So it dosnt work on MCE you need windows xp pro?

Total bollox, Pheonix works just fine with MCE! 😉

MCE is XP with an extra program installed with it! :icon2:

I flashed my N80 to N80IE using Pheonix and MCE and it worked first time! :icon14:

I also did not change my product code before flashing, Pheonix did that at the end, that way if it went wrong Nokia would not have known I had tried to flash it to a non authorised firmware and therefore voiding my warranty! 😉

I will add one last thing, do not flash it with the UK CV, I had to re-flash it to the Euro 1 PB Internet Edition as the UK CV had two missing functions, one being press the # key to go straight to silent mode, and the second and major missing function is that they removed the ability to change from manual/automatic network selection! 😮
