How do you mean it's in standby mode 15 seconds from locking the phone?

Is that manually locking the phone, or using a handy keylock kind of app?

so just before I click the upgrade button, is there a change in the picture quality???

Cause yeah, it was pretty naff in time wise... and I dont want it any worse?!?

ahhh well now youve done it... was wasnt gonna bother upgrading cause as you say... its not as clear as mine look at the moment.. HAHAHAHAH

fcuk it... I know Im gonna do it sooner or later... may as well be sooner... pubs only just opened anyway! BWAHAHAHAH

yeah, your right about that power saver kicking in after 15 seconds.... thats gotta be a good thing... :con? 😎

for sure, i left wlan on last night nd truphone, was 4bars when went to bed was 3 when i got up (only sleept 5hours though)

i used to hit 2#, to get *#10# to appear to then send to get my credit up

it used to restart the phone that has now stopped,

yeah, will take a few days I guess to see how it plays out...

One thing I cant find at the moment in how to change the multimedia key setting... when I held it down before upgrade it went to my gallery, now it goes to music player...

and the config options under the multimedia button dont give an option to change that... where is it??? 😎

don't you just press the button; then configure and then change Multimedia key to what you want?

ok

push multimedia key

press down 'configure'

choose what you want the key to be when held down (me i got my settings there) you can also set the others

SPINHEAD

Just a little bug after firmware update... 😮

If you key something like *123# (enter) to access operator info sent by special flash message, it doesn't work.

I guess all special flash message don't work..... :con?

if i restart the phone and key 2# (which turns to *#10#) it flashes up my credit balance

if i have used the phone abit then try it says 'requesting' for a few seconds then nothing

but if i send a txt or cellular call it flashes up my balance regardless of how much usage

(still better than before the new firmware update it would restart before :icon13: 😡 )

I've tried to restart the phone and key *123# (Wind/Italy code to check credit balance) and it doesn't work 😡
It says "requesting" then NOTHING. Then if I try to send a call it still doesn't display NOTHING.

Are Nokia guys joking with us? I think so.... :frown:

aarrghh, well I've found a bug then in mine.... as I devo dont have multimedia key as an option to change.... bummer.. (although not really that major)

they took of KODAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! awww i used that to print photo's at walmart lolzzz now i have to take out my sd card evreytime i want to get a print.

Yeah, the multimedia key long press is hardcoded to the Music Player now, I can't set to a voice recorder app I used to. Also the text of the active standby is normal again instead of the more legible bold of the last version... assholes

yeah, I even tried reinstalling the f/w but that long press is taking me nowwhere but the music player that I NEVER FRICKING USE! 😡

I thought upgrades were about giving us more... not less.

Maybe that is down to the product code your phone is set to.

My multimedia key is as configurable as before. I have the main key set to TomTom so that one long key press while driving is safe. Others (accessible by one quick press of the mm key are set to internet radio left-press, FM radio up-press, music player middle-key, web right-press, configure down-press) are set just as before the upgrade.

So maybe you should try a different product code with NSS, or do a hard-reset and then see if MM key is fully configurable before restoring any apps?

I knew you were going to ask that!

Is there a *# code to get the product code?

In the meantime I'll have a look at NSS to see if it can read the one I used.

Update: Just as before, NSS "Read" does not seem to work, it just sits there "reading..." but never fills in values for product code, etc. I'll have a look at Nokia Suite.

Ive just checked the notes I did when upgrading the 1st time with NSS and I used 0529378 as a code... which is off Cashs write up on the upgrade thread

EDIT >> that number isnt off Cash's write up... so I dunno where I got it from!
