Well, the left side is different, but mostly it is about the shading - more smooth this time.

Bjornels: I just looked in Switchblade's tutorial and the code you mentioned isn't there. Since I'm working on a small application that should make it easier to make skins, I was wondering if there are more colors that have been discovered. If you have any additions to the list, please let me know so I can incorporate them in the program.
First release of SkinMaker (very basic) is planned for next weekend.

sorry guys, i tried looking all over for a complete list for the skn values to which value changes which part of the desktops colors, and i haven't had much luck.
the closest thing i found was allaboutsymbian's s80 skin tutorial, but the values there seems somewhat outdated as most values r still listed as unknown, nn i know some of them r already being used by the latest skins... btw its so cool u guys found out how to eliminiate the blackline on top.

Buddy just click on the 'Post Reply' icon on the bottom left of this page, then go to 'Additional Options' section, click on 'Manage Attachments' icon and then attach ur skin file...

the coke skin is excellent, but u havent posted the desk wallpaper, can u also please upload the desk wallpaper and can u please tell me which softwares do u use to make such wonderful skins, the one posted in this forum is good but when we make a skin and apply it, there is a black line which doesnt go, the black like is just about the desk wallpaper, i do not see such black line on your theme, so can u please mail me the skin software u use to [email][email protected][/email]

i know i've included the desk wallpaper.. well.. there u go m8. the software that i use to make the skin the MBMWhizard. about the black line.. just read the past post and im sure ull find it there... 😊

i downloaded the mbmwhizard u sent me, but i really cant use it...there are 4 files in the folder...are thre anything else inside, i cant see a method to make a skin
Did you not see the link to the tutorial I posted above? Everything is explained there. Use the tutorial or the Skin Wizard S80 program. That's the only way to make skins.
Nicola13, I have no idea.
After digging through the SDK documentation and SDK files of the Series 80 SDK and examining the default skins that come with the Communcation, I figured out the complete set of colors (including default values) for skins and found some useful documentation on the skin bitmaps.
The list is rather long, and I have to split it in multiple posts, but I'm posting it here anyway, knowing that lots of people would like to have this information for creating their own skins. If you have any comments, questions or remarks, please post them here in this thread.
