Actually it is there, Nokia haven't updated the website yet, but it's available on NSU. I'm gonna update now.

Ive just updated my uk t-mobile n95 to 12.0.013 all worked fine.

I did notice that when i go online it now says 3.5g other than the old 3g in the top left.
Ive also notice there is a new smart2go map version and gps software. I cant tell if anything is faster.

I did a snap shot using the cam mind you that was faster.

SteveL already posted that the GPS had a great improvement with aGPS. So you go note also that.

Updated my one also.

Under preferences, GPS Position, now you can select a Positionserver. Default serveradress is: supl.nokia.com (not sure whether this was also available in Firmware 11).
A-GPS is activated by default. I disabled it, because I don't know how much data-transfer it nees and whether my mobile provider supports it or not.

Nokia Maps installed on the phone is still v3.0 wk23 b01 OpenGL OpenBit MN

Also some new programs can be downloaded via the phone software "Get" or how it is called in English (have the Swedisch version). Check it out.

Being a muppet I didn't check what firmware I was "updating" to so I went and sodding reinstalled the last update again. Got to wait for 12 on my phone it seems. Strange, it's one of those ones straight from Nokia themselves.

Speaking of the new map software. Does it still have the tracking option or is the firmware bundled with the new maps version that removed it?

From what i understand the new version of maps has tracking navigation removed.

One of the Nokia Themes has been removed with this Firmware Update.
Don't remember the name of it, but it is missing.

I now have only:
- Nokia Theme
- Nokia Nseries 1
- Nokia Nseries 2
- Nokia Nseries 3

Someone who still have FW 11 can check what is the name of the in FW 12 missing theme?

I would answer that question for you, except that in my case the new firmware/maps application still sucks and I can't get a lock with it - and worse still it no longer seems to work with my external 32 channel Holux Bluetooth GPS receiver either. (Even after pairing) Trust Nokia to make things worse rather than better.

What hooked me about the V12 firmware was that I read today that Nokia had updated the N80 and had included Flash 9.0 support. So I figured that if they had updated/licenced flash 9.0 for the N80, that surely they would have done this for the N95 (which is after all their flagship phone) too? So far however there is no evidence of this whatsoever - and I am struggling to find any major (or even visible) advantages in the update - and indeed if tracking is still missing - then there are likely to be very major disadvantages.

Ok 2 questions... Will this delete all my tones, numbers etc off my phone memory? also i have call manager installed, can i re-install it after (if it removes it)?

Where i can activate/deactivate A-GPS??
I´m not able to find something about it in nokiamaps... 😞

Thanks

sim free uk phone and no update yet but it took a while for me to get the last update so i guess it will be a while yet.

oxfordmark - the update will reset your phone so do a full backup using the pc suite first and also backup contacts to the memory card if you want. as for call manager i see no reason why if needed you will not be able to reinstall it after.

Cheers... i cant get NSU to run on Vista... so i tried it on XP after download the updating the version, but it still doesnt show an update.

i cant get the update yet either, it took a couple of weeks last time so i guess it will be around the same sort of time for v12.
have you got the latest version of NSU? it works fine on vista for me

lot of thanks 4 ur quick answer bodstrup. I just was searching onto nokiamaps, not in general settings 😊

I have just done the update and now my phone won't seem to connect to the place where all my backup stuff is stored, it just says no phone is connected:con?

Is it something to do with the NSS thing as it says it does something to the drivers??

Edit - Worked after a reboot😊
