I'm still using R1B and hope to upgrade soon. But just for my curiosity, what's new in R2F? I've seen a lot of post about R2D improvements and fixes. So what about R2F? Is there a site where we can see the Changes in this F/W's?

Finally, I ugraded my phone firmware after some months waiting for P800 comming to Vietnam.

Guys, finally I have the R2F... I was very sceptic at first to get this since r2d was doing perfectly fine on mine. My gf and my cuz decided to upgrade their newly purchased P800's so I decided too also, what the heck.. Now while I was replying to a message with keypad flip on I got the dreaded Triangle Road sign 😞 Its been awhile since I passed by that road.. now im back at it again 😞 Should I just go back to R2d?
I have changed my phone and i got R2D now. My first P800 was R2A if I am not wrong and because there was problem, I changed it and I got a R1D, became older version.. 😮 :x 😞 ..but still, the problems still remain in the phone where people can't hear me properly and finally, I changed it again and i got R2D..I am very happy with it! cool upgrade.
However, night mode doesnt seems anything special though.. but i like the full screen view of picture and movie. Oh..about the full screen video..it makes the video become very slow....i guess it is because it use more processing power and hence so. Any of you experience that?

ok..i found out one more difference! Or maybe is not a problem, just that I don't know how to deal with it.
My new R2D play midi very soft on the speaker! My previous 2 P800 with older firmware plays the midi VERY LOUD. I have already increase the multimedia volume. Is there any other place I can increase the volume? It plays the midi for my alarm clock very soft. I merely hear it when i am sleeping...=(
Am still using R2D, but found this out recently.
When you use a midi or wav file that's very long as the alert of your SMS, the music won't stop playing even if you have opened the SMS already. It will finish the whole music. In R2D, it stops the moment you open your SMS.
May have been mentioned already, but just pointing this out.

I get this quite a lot, but I'm sill on R1D (I think, certainly R1, but not sure about the letter). My local carphone warehouse wants to send the phone away for 14 days to do the upgrade so I'm hoping the rumors about SonyEricsson releasing the software upgrades over the internet are true.

Had a firmware upgrade... I experienced when I'm writing a text message that my phone hangs halfway. I have to restart the phone. This happened to me 3 or 4 times already since that upgrade... hmmm... :roll:

Hey, I have that problem too, esp when I'm scribbling a slightly longish message. I'm on R2D, in fact.

Done by a lovely group of guys in Forest Road, Walthamstow E17. They can be contacted on 0208 923 9999. No receipt necessary and they did it for free in about an hour presumably only because there were no other phones in front of mine! I gave them a box of Roses (no - not the little cheapskate box either!).
The photos are an improvement. But why oh why did SE not do T9. Plonkers.

Upgrade in Datafax Lisboa (nova Campolide), if the phone is in warranty the service is free of charge and it takes about 2 hours .

My unit is still running on the very first official firmware(R1B), and I'm very happy with it. It crashes like once in a blue moon.. 8)
