I cant find the two new menu arrangements on my T-Mobile N95. I have looks in the menu options bothe in settings and the main menu but i only get LIST and GRID.
Are they not included with the N95 or is this operator specific? The 6290 has it.

I need some help please....I'm trying to upgrade my firmware but when I use the software updater via nokia pc suit it says no update available.

My current version is V10.0.018 15-03-07 RM-159

Where can i get this updated..?

I'm experiencing problems when making calls...it does not always allow me to hear the person or for them to hear me. Have to end the call and redial to get connected properly.

Thanks for your help.

You'll have to change your serial number to another country - search the forum for serial numbers and NSS software (the forum won't allow me to post URLs until I've made 10 or more posts - sorry) and it'll tell you how and what to do to change the serial code and it'll all come right after the update.

I've done two with the same problem and all is now well and operating perfectly.

Hi

I was wondering ( as tomtom hasn't sorted out using the internal gps receiver in the N95) whether it is possible to share the gps receiver in the N95 with another bluetooth device?

e.g possibly get my N80 to pick up the gps receiver in the N95 or even get my dell axim x51v to utilise the gps receiver via bluetooth.

regards

Unfortunately the answer is no. The N95's internal GPS receiver cannot transmit it's data over bluetooth - at least not at the present time.

mr g wrote:There the only options i've ever got on a s60 Nokia!

S60 3rd edition comes with two new views, Horseshoe and V. The 6290 has these views, so its odd that a higher end phone like the N95 doesn't.

I want to know if anyone else has these missing on their N95.

The only other views i can think of is when you slide to see the music controls or press the multimedia button.

I have four view options on the N76 but only the regular two on the N95. Maybe in future firmwares will get the rest.

hi! I need to have Greek, Thai and English on my N95 as I receive Greek SMS and want to read Greek websites as well as Thai. I bought my N95 in Thailand and it only supports Thai and English. Nokia says it is impossible to have Greek and Thai on the same telephone, is it true? Any solutions?

Rafe, thanks, a lot of valuable info here! Paging through these Q & A just shows the variety of things done with the N-95!

I am having problems with searching on the maps. I live in Qatar (Middle East) and my phone gives me wonderful search results for Western Europe and Middle East, but not for the other maps I donloaded via pc, e.g. South Africa, Greece, Egypt. I can find the cities by scrolling the map and zooming, but even after I save them as landmarks it says "No results found" after searching. My friends N95 had no problem searching Canada, Australia, South Africa etc, without him even downloading any maps.

Also, is there a way of checking under file manager or so which maps are installed? It takes forever, so I don't want to waste time with maps already on the unit.

Thanks for yout time and effort, and if the q has already been a'd, just tell me which of the 25 pages!

Headphones work fine, plugged via AD-43 or directly in 3.5 mm jack, but remote control buttons doesn't give any sign of life. Any suggestion?

I am planning to buy N95 and planning to spend the summer between Austria and Germany do i need to add anything to the mobile to be navigation device like Garmin or tomtom with Voice guidance, distant calculation and locations addresses.
Thanks

I've paired my N95 with my in-car parrot via blue tooth and can make and receive calls. But can't access address book on the parrot. Any ideas???

I am planning to switch over to VerizonWireless. ONLY Becuase my wife gets a huge discount because of the company she works for (trying to save a little money). I currently own a Nokia N95 and its about 3 weeks old. I am from America and would like to know (without breaking forum rules) where I can post the phone for sale. I want to give you guys a chance to buy before I slap it on ebay. Thanks!

Hey, just got the phone and realised when someone calls me the only info shown is "call".

This is really annoying and any help to get this sorted would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Does this hapen with every call or just now and then?

Call centres and businesses usually withold their number. Also, mobile callers can set their handset to withold number when calling out.

Hi,

does anyone like me hope that we will one day soon see integrated micro projectors in our smartphones for watching video and web-browsing etc ( as well as powerpoint demos)

I am thinking of these kind of things:
www dot microvision dot com/proj.html

Has anyone heard about this kind of thing being integrated, or even a laser keyboard projector?

Or is it years away?

thanks

Philip

Well, sort of. You'll have to activate the navigation service in order to get "full" navigation. That is visual direction (by arrows) and voice guidance. N95 comes with Map application, maps (either download "as you go" which transfers data => costs money, or pre-download to device using "Maploader" on you PC) and of course the built in GPS.
=> Out of the box you can view the maps and of course with the built in GPS now where on the map you are, but you'll have to pay extra for navigation service (buy either 1 week, 1 month, 1y or 3y). Approx 8 euro for 1w, 10 euro for 1m.

On a side of AD-43 there is switch as you can notice.
Maybe you are in "bloking buttons" position, so try to shift the switch.

Is there any way to perform a 'right click' and 'save as' within the browser or at least save a file from a link in a web page without actually opening the link, i have been trying to save some podcasts from the bbc web page.

Sadly not, it just does the default action for that file type. I agree that this is VERY annoying when trying to get podcasts into the podcast app. I am using opera mobile now becasue that does let you download files to the phone even if it doesn't recognise the file type, however, the podcast situation is the same, it shows you the content of the RSS feed instead of offering to save it or anything.

Nope this is happening with every call, makes the missed calls list totally pointless as "Call" doesnt really give me any idea who I need to call back

PLEASE does anybody have a solution to this?

Alls im given when somebody rings me is "Call"

I have my contacts saved to the phone memory, none are duplicated, i dont have a memory card inserted (If that makes any difference), and Im on orange

Please, any solution would be great

Hi, when I make or receive a call, the person on the other end can not hear me.😮 I have to switch off and back on again to be heard, this is a recent occurence, I have had my phone since the 5th of May. Any Ideas before I take it back to P4U?🙄

Thanks

Check for a firmware upgrade or do a phone format. Try again. If the problem still the same, then, change that unit.
