Hi,

I have a Nokia N95 and I updated it to firmware 12.0.013, unfortunately the polish characters in my maps are not recognized at all.. The product code of my phone is the right one 0534852. My language is set up to English, but even when it is in polish does not work. I have tried hard reset and nothing seems to work, any idea how to sort out the problem. Wihtout polish characters and been located in Poland my gps is almost useless...

Any help is really apreciated.

Kind regards

Carlos

I couldn't find an answer through a search, so sorry if this has been asked before:

Is there a way to download from the internet browser straight to memory card? I'm trying to download a large mp3 and i just keep getting a phone memory full error message after about 20mb, but theres about 500mb free on my memory card.

Thanks.

hi, im new to all this, but cant seem to find this asked before...

when i open maps and go to options > plan route, in 'destination' whenever i open 'recent' the phone will freeze and then reboot.

i'm on O2 uk network, and have updated firmware to v 11.0.026

ive had 4 different handsets in the last 3 months, due to this problem, and also due to the earpiece speaker, which keeps becoming 'buzzy' and hard to hear other people, but thats another story.

any help with the mapping problem would be appreciated, as no one seems to have had this trouble!

hi all hope you can help me i have just purchased a new n95 yesterday on orange and it is currently running v10 firmware so i downloader the nokia software updater to get the new version 12 and when i went to update it said there was no new updates for my device surely i must be able to update my firmware some way please help?

i have an orange branded n95, and have changed the code to euro 1. however i have now lost the line 2 opion from my phone. on orange you just press and hold the # keay and it changes lines. now the # key changes from silent to general. i have heard there is a way to use the latest firmware and also use my line 2, has any one got any idea on how i dothis??

Hello, i have small problem using maps.I noticed my N95 doesn't shows special characters, i mean central European fonts. Some cities I've been to during the vacation, needs CE fonts for displaying names, but all I can see, is some weird characters instead of central European characters.Any suggestion? Thanx in advance

Check the date of your map file. If it's 2006 or 2007, then you may have the latest Maps with 7-digit postcodes.
They don't work properly on any N95 compatible version of R66, except for V7.3.545 (for which you need a valid license key).

If you are using the Britain map, then also check the filesize.
If it's around 150Mb it should work 100% with the N95 and the older/signed version of R66.
If it's 215Mb then it needs v7.3.545

Hope this helps.

Dez: do you have latest map? or know where can I get that from?
also V7.3.545 unsigned?

Is there any way to enable the N95 to display scripts from other languages ? My wife and I have N95's that were bought in the Middle East (where we live) but my wife is Thai and we have a lot of MP3's that currently show up as a bunch of boxes in the N95 music player.

I guess an alternate question is whether there are any s60v3 music players with built in Thai language support ?

Thanks
;330248']how about changing the names of the songs 😮
🙄 Yeah - a couple hundred songs now and a couple hundred more next month when she updates the collection and .....

Just installed latest map (220 MB) with pre activated (cracked) version of 7.3.468 and it worked like a charm
it seems to search full post code, i've tried 6 digit post code
don't remember any 7 digit postcode to try :S

Hi new phone and new to the site.
I really need some help.

My N95 is an unlocked Orange with a Virgin sim.
Under settings, connection, access points is Orange Internet, if I try to delete or edit it I get a message unable to delete or edit protected access point do you know if there is any way of taking this connection of the phone?

Also I think it is linked to the above the phone keeps connecting to the internet about every hour, when I checked on the Virgin site to see my recent call list it says that they are all Accessing other sites, this has cost me around 25.00 in the last 24 hours.

Please help before it ends up in the river.

i dont know if you can delete the setting
but i'll suggest hard reset or mmmmm what about debrand ur phone?
which will help you get rid of all the settings and branding

You are lucky! 😉
The 220Mb Britain map crashes with me when planning routes in Scotland.
Perhaps only certain map regions are affected?

i guess you're right
give me any scotland address or post code
and let me see if mine crashes with it?

thanks. I did the debrand but no luck, still the same. I don't know how to do a hard reset. bit new to all this.

i think its *#7370#
make sure you backup all your data
i hope this solves the problem

btw i m more than sure that debranding takes away all the configs on the phone. you sure you're doin it right?

😉 Thanks ID I redone the debranding and it worked fine this time, it takes away all the configs on the phone has you said including the Orange protected access points.😊

Try planning a route from TD1 2UE to ML1 5RQ.
You may find the E in 2UE is not listed, so try F etc.

R66 on the my previous N80 and now on my N95 always crashed with the 220Mb Britain Map.

If this route plans ok for you, what's the chances of PM' me with details where you downloaded your 220Mb maps?

Cheers. 😉

the E in 2UE was listed in mine 😃
and it calculated the route without any problem

RIGHT
let me explain first what i have done
i downloaded the 545 from
h**p://rs144.rapidshare.com/files/45347059/r73545n95.rar

and map from
Britain part 1
h**p://rapidshare.com/files/45665799/Britain.part1.rar
Part 2
h**p://rapidshare.com/files/45667597/Britain.part2.rar

copied the new map in place
put my memory card in the computer and installed the v545
it did install but it required the key (which i never had)

so i then installed my crack v468 on top of it

and it worked
i personally think that this way the support files for the application was replaced by the new files and prevent my application to crash....but again i can not be sure

give it a try and see what does it do to yours
