I was wondering if there is an emulator or some other application that will let me run an S60 2nd edition application on an N95.

When disconnecting the USB cable after transferring files via mass storage, is there a "proper" way to do it or do you just unplug the cable?

Please advise, as I wouldn't want to damage my phone/memory card by improperly disconnecting.

A quite interesting question: I have a wi-fi connection at home. Then I have a laptop / desktop PC without any WLAN-cards. Can I use the modem in N95 and then use a WLAN access point, instead of HSDPA etc.?

If so, I don't need to buy WLAN cards for my PC's.:icon14:

Hi!

I reli like this screensaver file tat i downloaded but apparently there's a 1 minute time-out for swf files. Do u know how to disable that function or some other thing i can do to enable no limit playing of screen saver?! so the swf file can b on for the whole time?

i'm trying to get tom tom 6 to install on my n95 but i'm having terrible trouble it worked fine on my n80 but when i try to install it comes up with the message unable to install and installation has gone to about 98% . i t still works on my n80 so i know the software is ok but what settings on the phone are restricting me

Is it possible to delete texts in bulk on the N95?

On my old sony ericsson, I had the option of deleting ALL texts. On my N95, I can only see the option to delete an individual text.

Takes ages, sometimes to delete all my texts.

I need some help as I am just about to receive a Nokia N95 8gig phone which for various reasons will come from vodafone. If I look at my friends then his is
V10.0.021
29-09-07
RM 320.

So we both want to be able to access via wifi the internet etc and the internet symbol does not appear on the menu.
This fone appears to be the latest offering from voda please can anyone point us in the correct direction for this version. Will it be the same route of upgrading and which Euro version and flashing which version of the software etc.

Hi Rafe, hope you can help with this problem: in iTunes it is possible to add albumcovers from Gracenote. When I use Nokia PC Suite to copy music to my N95, albumcovers do not appear on my phone. How come?

I've checked for information on the N95 8gig and I was able to look at a copy of the manual today. In the manual (around page 25 in the copy I viewed) you are given directions on how to setup a WLAN and how to use this.

As I didn't get my hands on the phone itself I can't comment on the handset's software, what I would recommend is that if you feel the software needs changing after you get the handset to contact the manufacturer directly for new software.

Just got my N95 8GB - fantastic phone and in my opinion a massive improvement on the N95. Whilst I hated the resolution of the N95 (i.e. not being able to read a list of say 15 email headers like on my old N73) the 8GB variant improves this by the bigger screen....and it's fast!

I've a few questions.

How can I get the voice reader facility that is present on the 6110 navigator? I thought this was great.

Windows LIVE seems very sluggish - how can I download the latest version of this?

Any idea how to update the phone's firmware online? There seems to be the facility in 'device manager' but you need to input settings?

Stupid question but is there any way to have messages as ONE LINE ONLY as was previously available on phones such as the N73? This was a great way to quickly view emails / texts whereas on the N95 8GB you are forced to view a 2 line header which wastes space?

Help is much appreciated!

Yes, the 8GB N95 does have a slightly larger screen, but the resolution is exactly the same.

can u please tell me a way how to download files from megaupload into nokia phones????
i dont have a premium account....also i'm using opera browser.....i do get the image which u have to type...the counting starts....the moment the counting ends, it doesn't start to download......
pls pls pls help

Try enabling POPUPs. Perhaps your N95 Web app is set top block them?

Failing this, just download the files on a PC and use data transfer mode to get them into your N95.

1. Set Packet Data to "When Needed" (Settings->Connections->Packet Data)

i am facing a lot of problems with n95 .its automatically getting on and off when i just carry it. and also when i open the images and videos .its getting hanged and once again the same thing happens

If I connect my N95 to this network via the WiFi option and using the network key supplied by BT will i be chaged for this service? Is it just like adding another wireless device such as a laptop to the network? Also will there be any charge from my phone operator (orange) for using this service?

WiFi access on the N95 via your home router will be free...

...Only IF you ensure the WEB app (or whaterver apps you use for internet on N95) are set to use WiFi and not GPRS connections. Every app you install usually has settings of their own. The best setting to use is ALWAYS ASK then you get to choose manually and ensure it's not using an Orange connection.

I guess the title says it all.

I don't need something as fancy as the latest version of quickoffice with power point this and presentation that.

Just software to be able to edit text files.

If there isn't any such other software, are older versions of quickoffice available anywhere for a reduced cost?
